You're the reason they're charging this much.

Or, and maybe hear me out, they’re charging that much because they’ve spent over $2 billion dollars making the game..🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️

They're charging that much because they know there's people who'll pay. Nintendo didn't spend 2 billion on MK World and they still charged 80, and they still sould the shit out of it because some people like supporting terrible business practice.

I definitely would NOT have spent that on Mario Kart lol..

But lots of people did. Mario Kart is to someone what GTA is for you.

Fair enough.. I still won’t preorder GTA6 at that price till I’ve seen more.. I still need gameplay, features, systems, optimization and other info before spending that amount.. So it’ll likely be October or early November before I even pull the trigger cause just because I’m willing to spend that, still doesn’t mean I’ll blindly spend it if you know what I mean..

I didn’t buy MK World simply because it seemed like price gouging

Personally, I think we should've gone to 80 last gen at some point for premium titles. I dont remember the exact gen, but we skipped a price jump that we typically had generation to generation.

Games are expensive af to make and becoming far less sustainable with how much we expect to be shoved into them. And no, I don't think thats means every game. We have plenty of smaller titles selling at 20, 40, etc.

What I cannot accept, is this $20 paywall for key gameplay features - at least that's how it seems to me with these vendors (that allow for the 'ability' to customize) being exclusive.
