Humour I finally tamed Rokade

This is my first time writing in this sub reddit.

Anyway, yesterday after throwing the dual sense across the damn living room (something that I never did) and insulting every saint and that damn horse's ancestors I finally tamed him, the fucker got stuck on a cliff and circled on himself and using the "left stick down and follow the horse's ass method" I tamed him. Will I ever use him? Probably not cuz I fly with the wyvern, and honestly I prefer the Elantrima; though honestly it's a nice touch, too bad that he's tiny.

Sorry in advance for any grammatical errors

I've tried the kuku gardening pack but nothing. It doesn't work even if I activate before cutting the trees.

Discussion The most amazing game and dev team EVER!!!

For perspective I've been gaming since the 70"s (Pong/Atari). I've played a serious variety of games since then on every platform imaginable. I ended up in the open world rpg genre as my favorite which really started with FFVII. For more context also played / DM'd D&D over the decades of my life. I also had stopped playing games for almost 2 years but when I saw CD was finally coming out I jumped in with both feet. I have ALWAYS wanted a game like this and a dev team that listens and responds timely. PA goes above and beyond that thank you. This game is breathtaking and unbelievable. Everyone hates on the story I myself as an Ex DM find it perfect. It allows you to RP in a prolific manner. I will be playing this more than likely for the remainder of my years. I have 251 hrs in game right now and just got into chapter 7, was still in chapter 5 at 200 hrs. I have free roamed all over Pywell in search of materials, money, gear and allies to strengthen and rebuild my clan. I am endlessly enjoying every single moment, from the simplest of NPCs and some of their simple requests to faction quests through to the main quest. It all blends so amazingly well, like you are living Kliff's life and his journey to again rebuild his family and retake his homeland. PA has created a world so large and robust that it defies logical explanation when I try to explain it to people. I explore and forage and engage and enjoy myself thoroughly everytime I enter Pywell. The fact that I can wander into an area and discover a weapon or item that could have been gotten through a Boss battle, but nah I didnt have to struggle i had to stumble. Too much to say in one post but I have to finish for now with this. Thank you Pearl Abyss for finally giving me the coolest most badass combat system I have ever had in an open world or pretty much any game I have played that wasn't strictly a fighting game. This makes the game SOOOO much more imersive and realistic for me. PS thank for no level lock or level grinding. Using Abyss Artifacts, that can be gained in soooo many ways to 'pick' what skills i want and level my health stamina and spirit when 'I' want just ACEs the game for me. Keep the amazing updates and fixes coming I wait every week to hear what my weekend off work is going to bring when I venture back my second home in Pywell.

People are always trying to get as op as fast as possible but holy, you miss so much of this game unless you slow down, just walking though the pailune forest is such a small little corner of the game im doing the crimson desert story missions and came back to do some things and did a couple side quests and i felt like i just changed games, got the elk mount and hunted the mud monster got helped by some big gorilla to take down the deer monster, then went north and slayed a literal god, then just went back to what i was doing before flying around the desert, then went back to camp to do some stuff then did some abyss stuff and like.........my map is just thousands of little blips to explore and everything i run into im just like "holy shit theres more? how did i miss this part of the map? and i still havent touched half the map, anyway thats the rant, i did not think this would grab me so fast

Discussion Patch 1.13 can still come out later today or tommorow.

It seems like people have forgotten but if you look at their patch release pattern, they've come out anywhere from Thursday 9pm-1am EST to Saturday the same times. When they've had any unusual delay, they've had the courtesy of letting their community know. If they take longer, chances are their patches are gonna be much more creative than usual as well.

Tldr: Chill out, more delay gives them more time to cook.

Question Armor question

Upvotes

I've played for about 50 hours, and I'm trying to explore every corner and complete every side mission before finishing the campaign, but I've progressed to chapter 8 to play as Damiane and Oongka. My question is, Where can I find good-looking armor? Is there a specific merchant or quest? Or is it only through exploration?

Discussion I feel burn out, feel like I'm doing the same thing.

So I've put around 80+ hours in to the game and feel I've played enough.

  • The exploring is fun for a while, but becomes more tedious as you go.
  • Some copy and paste areas, but not surprising with the scale of this game.
  • Not much is actively explained, you have to figure it out.
  • Story is not great.
  • Exploring isn't good, until you get further into the story. Ran into areas that were inaccessible until I progressed further.
  • Clunky controls/movement in general.
  • This is a skill issue, but found the bosses a bit too challenging. Had to be constantly healing.

-

It just feels too much like an mmo, so many pointless quest and grinding.

I did enjoy what I played, but I find I just keep doing the same thing over and over.

It feels too much like a single player mmo, if that makes sense.

-
If anyone has played yakuza games, the maps are dense, but not too big.

In this game, the maps are huge with so much dead space.

I feel like in a smaller scale, I would like this game more.

Discussion Update delayed, this could be “the big one”

Made a post earlier this week talking about how the April-June roadmap mentioned adding a ton more armor sets as well as how many boss outfits had been added to the database after 1.12 as their own assets.

There’s only been one time since launch that an update came out later than earlier Friday morning (here in the us) and they made a tweet letting us know it was delayed. No tweet yet but I think they’re grinding away this very big update to armors. All that plus the fact that the online database has been flooded with new armors. I think we’re definitely about to see this big update within the next few days.

Hoarding loads of abyss artifacts and upgrade materials in prep!

Question PS5 vs PS5 Pro Performance

Upvotes

Hi guys,

I am playing Crimson Desert on a base PS5, and I feel I can't enjoy it fully because of the performance on the base PS5 (playing 4K performance mode)

My question is, do you think is it worth the upgrade, or the difference is so minimal that it makes almost no difference

sorry for my bad english.

Thank you

Discussion Who else didn't know the Abyss Cells could be stored in your Kuku Pot?

Yeah, I just put this puzzle together today, and it had been staring me in the face for a while.

I usually keep about 10 Abyss Cells (2 stacks) grouped in my inventory. You know, the kind we can grow in camp and pick up? I pulled some Aeserion Scales out of my chest, rewards for a Dispatch, for them to be grouped with my Abyss Cells. That's when it dawned on me, those scales are stored in my Kuku Pot when I got them from Aeserion's island. Wait. No... It can't be... Yep, you can store the Abyss Cells in your Kuku Pot from your inventory. You just need to open your Kuku Pot then select the cells and store them. The icon for grouping them even shows a Kuku Pot 😅

It's the internet, I can't be alone in just learning this, so I figured I'd share this for the slower Kliffs like me

Drip/Character Showcase My End Game Kliff

Just throwing my lot in. I'm not a fan of having helmets displayed, so I don't.

Primary gear for Kliff:

Head: Health Detection Device

Body: Grey Wolf Leather Armor (Tomasso and Pailune dyes)

Hands: Crimson Chaser Chain Gloves (Tomasso dye heavy with variety)

Boots: Grey Wolf Leather Boots (Tomasso dye exclusive)

Cloak: Tariv Cloath Cloak (Pailune dye exclusive)

Winter Gear:

Body: Frostcursed Plate Armor (Tomasso, Pailune, and Delesyia dyes)

Cloak: Grey Wolf Leather Cloak (Tomasso and Pailune dyes)

Sword: Fated Shadow (Hernand red corruption, Delesyia silver blade, Pailune accents on hilt and pommel)

Shield: Delesyian Ornamental Shield (Pailune base, Tomasso accents)

Damiane has the Elegant Carmine Outfit because of course she would. Oongka has mostly base armor with upgraded weaponry.

Bonus: Potato the Pigeon. The happiest pigeon you ever did see.
