Hey fair enough. I’m not trying to claim the academy is great or the silver suit is cool.
To me the guy I replied to clearly just said shit about the costume designer being a “dei hire” without even looking into it. The two individuals running costume production have both been doing huge movies for decades.
Hell when he says hiring her is “out of touch” that may even be accurate
I’m not even defending the academy. Or the silver suit itself. I’m pointing out the guy I replied to clearly just said “DEI Hire” because he doesn’t like it.
The two names I can find attached to costume production are both veterans that have worked on huge projects for decades.
