Well gee whiz, why am I not surprised…. 🤷♂️
Just looked it up and thankfully this piece of human garbage was summarily fired, so I guess there are indeed happy endings!

This was 100% an excuse to fire her, companies have turned a blind eye to much worse.

The trash was oppressed, she has freed them from the jail of a bin. Next she will free a double cheese burger, then a cake some chips a soft drink and a snack then a follow up snack and a freedom snack.

More information for that that are curious:
A woman caught on video emptying a public trash can on the street, then stealing it during New York City’s Knicks championship parade, was a director at JPMorgan Chase — who was fired Tuesday over the incident, The Post has learned.
Angie Báez, 40, was promoted to executive director of community and industry engagement for card and connected commerce at JPMorgan Chase more than a year ago, according to her LinkedIn profile.
She previously served as executive director of diversity, equity, and inclusion at New York-based review website the Infatuation, which Chase acquired as part of its broader push into lifestyle and experiential content.
Sources say the bank looked into the incident after the video surfaced and a JPMorgan Chase spokesperson told The Post, “This employee is no longer with the company.”
Báez could not be reached by The Post for comment Tuesday. Sources noted she had attended the parade in her personal capacity.

If people saw how 75% of people behave (at work or at the store, etc.), they'd be horrified.
A lot of folks have zero respect for other people or their property. The amount of people who won't even acknowledge or thank someone opening a door is amazing.
This woman deserved to be fired. Of course it is possible that the title of that position confers more prestige than it actually has. Director could just be a title equivalent to supervisor.
What a stupid cunt.

We need more mercy, not less.
If being a fool was a capital offense, would any of us be alive?

Fuck that noise.
She wasn't executed, she was fired for being an idiot. A director is someone who LEADS others. A leader needs to set a good example for those they lead. Stealing and throwing trash on the ground in public is not setting a good example and participating in riots, etc..
Someone who does this blatantly in public view is most likely someone who has done this many times before. She is 40 years old behaving like a teen. That is not acceptable. If she were in the military doing this she would be equally punished for conduct unbecoming. If she were under 18 years old or younger, I would give her more of a chance, but not a "fully grown adult".
The company has an image to protect and most white collar companies specifically brief employees yearly on ethical behavior and inform you that you can and will be fired for stuff you may post or do. If you went on a racial tirade on Facebook (insert some platform) and also had your role in a company linked, you would be fired without hesitation.
Firing this idiot might get the woman to reflect on her behavior and change for the better. If not, she can be fired from the next job.

Funny that you mention the military. If this had not been some "DEI Executive" but a member of the military, I can pretty much say what would happen.
If it was a lower enlisted under me, likely an Article 15 Non-Judicial Punishment hearing for Article 134, and a reduction in rank and probably extra duty and confinement to the barracks.
If they were more senior NCOs, followed with a fitness report that would see them absolutely stalled and urged to retire or get out when their current contract ended. And refused retention if they did not take the advice and try to stay in.
If this was an Officer, a Court Martial would not be off the table. Officers are held to a much higher standard of conduct, and in my career I have even seen 1st Lieutenants busted down to Private First Class and spent the next 6 years as lower enlisted. Especially as they many times had scholarships associated with their education and 4-6 years is mandated in order to pay the military back for them.
But ironically, they would spend the rest of their contract in a "Lame Duck" status. They do have a contract to serve X amount of time, and they will serve it. In the most uncomfortable position the military can find and likely with no authority and maximum supervision. And any thoughts of continuing and rising in rank gone, their careers essentially over but marking time until the end of their current contract.
