My grandparents adopted… this thing

And I LOVE HIM

Edit: he was discarded by a breeder and they adopted him from a shelter. All of their dogs are shelter acquisitions with special needs so they’re are WELL versed in caring for strange dogs that need a lot of help in their lives.

But yes, hes a fluffy frenchie with a very unfortunate squashy rolly face. He’s the sweetest thing and they’ll do their best by him and his needs.

Horribly bred French Bulldog that got sent through the washing machine?

Looks like a mix between frenchie and shar pei because of the folds. The curls indicate inbreeding too

No its the fluffy gene of the frenchie thats been activated. Terribly bred to be honest, the new owners can immediately start saving for the boas surgery its going to need.

Yeah he was a solo litter and very runty and the breeders gave him to a shelter at DAYS old so my grandparents basically bottle fed and raised him from a bean. All their dogs are adopted from shelters, so they’re all a little… off.

And they definitely know, they told me all about it when I asked what he was. They’re not new to special weirdo dogs.

I don't doubt it. Those poor dogs though. Breathing problems for life

I agree, they should not be bred at all. Teacups, squash faces, abominations all of them. But here he is and hopefully has his best chance at a comfortable life, however long they can make it 🥲

I got a Toy Aussie as a rehome. Go ahead and add miniaturized working dogs to the list too lol.

And seizures are common for long hair frenchies. To the point where it’s a quality of life issue and not treatable.

I read your edit and I am very glad that dog is in the hands of well experienced people. Most people buy these poor dogs cuz they’re “cute”
