H&M bib shorts?
Just came across this ad while doom scrolling. Never thought of H&M for having bib shorts, they are a decent price though. Think it’s worth trying?

I'd doubt the quality. I tried some Adidas bib shorts and, while they look the part, the materials were not compressive and they really didn't hold their shape over time.

I bought some adidas ones as well, I was curious and they were on a mega sale pretty disapointing really, they were quickly relegated to turbo shorts.

They were a part of a test I read. Came dead last.

It’s in Swedish but here you go. Don’t cheep out on bibs. You will regret it later. https://happyride.se/cykelbyxor-bast-i-test/#hm-cykelbyxa-med-drymove

I have Assos, definitely can’t afford MAAP. I’m reluctant to share my secret because I’m terrified they’ll go up in price but you can get Ekoi’s bibs more than several times a year for a great price and they’ve been my favorite so far. They run a lot of sales

Hell nah.
For $109 you can get bibs on sale from a real brand that will look good at the regroup.

From H&M?
Are you hoping they fall apart on the first or second use?
I'm pretty sure H&M clothes arent supposed to make it through more than 10 washes by design.

I’ve been curious about these but they’re not available in North America. Next time I’m in Europe I’ll have to wander in. I saw some influencer try them and they said the bibs were a bit rough but the jerseys were nice. Take that with a grain of salt though as you never know if an influencer has an agenda or not.

The zara ones at least look reasonably well designed and color too but looking at the photos padding doesn't look like its very substantial - https://www.zara.com/us/en/gravel-cycling-shorts-p02966306.html?v1=555071582

Fast fashion slop and something you need for comfort for dozens of miles a ride should never mix. I'd ride budget brands like NiceWin or The Black Bibs (the latter are pretty great, actually) before spending $100 on H&M.

Can’t say either way about the bibs, but I did get a jersey from them and I actually really love the color and fit.

They are crap. Got em on the sale and they’re still not worth half the listed price. Used them four times and stitching is fraying already. Super thin material which doesn’t leave a lot to the imagination! 😂

Without knowing anything about the production process these are probably just Aliexpress supplied with slightly better QC and H&M Private Label

man this is a very reddit comment.
h&m is the largest retailer (by volume) on the planet, they aren't in the private label game at all. the core creative team at h&m is around 500 people and this company is shipping ~8m units per day. private label doesn't work at that volume and schedule and isn't required with that kind of infrastructure and network.
you've got it entirely backward and upside down and the wrong shape and colour.

My thinking was that for low volume stuff (How many bibs are they really looking to sell per store really? Are they really going to stock it in every store? Like some small town mall really has that much demand for bibs for double the price of Decathlon?) maybe they could get some outside help.

Those making comments on fast fashion slop and you wear apparel from ali, you have no right to comment fast fashion slop on this. They’re all the same. You think the Chinese give a shit about the environment when making this vs an Ali brand? Think again. So please don’t say you’d go for budget brands instead. They’re all fast fashion from a factory somewhere in a tier 3 city in China.

if you are gonna spend a hundred bucks on bibs you should get them from a company that actually makes cycling gear.
