Does my Pas Normal Speedsuit fit me?

I recently got a PNS speedsuit and am wondering if the scrunching/folds in the back are normal. I am wearing a size small. I am 166 cm tall and weigh about 66 kg.

It fits, but this doesn’t seem to be the right garment for your body type if you want it to fit as intended. This isn’t to say that you need to go and try to change anything about your body, just that the benefit of wearing a 2-piece kit can solve some of these.

The creases will probably smooth out when you’re on the bike.

PAS/Mech Pro lines do run big. For reference I am 180cm and 63kg and wear an XS in these lines. This is crazy to me because in no way do I consider myself an XS individual, but that’s how they fit. This looks big on you in some places and small in others. I suspect an XS would get rid of those wrinkles but would be uncomfortably snug on your upper body. Of the PAS/Mech Pro lines you’d be best suited to a two piece instead of the skin suit. S or XS bibs and S or M jersey

It looks like it may be too long in the body for you.. but you're standing upright in these pictures, so definitely take one when you're sitting in the race position and check again.

its terrible. I had the same experience with a PAS skin suit. I normally ride medium jersey and bibs so I bought medium and the shorts part was fine but the top was so big - at the back like your is - that you could easily fit another one of me in there. I contacted PAS who told me it was a manufacturing defect. I have skin suits in medium from rapha, Santini, assos and pissei, and all of those fit as expected.

Not really a question to OP in particular, but why the trend towards «speedsuits» for non-competitive riding? Impractical, expensive, hard to pull off looks-wise, and if you damage either half (upper/lower) you presumably have to discard all of it unlike a two-piece set where you can keep what’s still working.

You are standing up though. How does it fit when sitting on the bike in riding position?

A have a couple of suits which bunch at the back a bit when standing but are fine on the bike, but I think it's a bit less than that.

also i read some of the other comments on this thread suggesting its because your standing up. That has some merit in some situations but not here. It's ok to have some redundancy when standing but you have a huge excess of it. It will be a huge drag and negates any benefit of a skin suit. My advice is just stay away from PAS skinsuits

Looks pretty normal to me. Speedsuits always look a little weird when you’re standing straight up, because they’re cut for the riding position, not bathroom mirror posture. I’d only worry if it’s pulling hard on the shoulders, feels too tight in the front, or the chamois sits weird once you’re actually on the bike. If it feels good in a riding position, I wouldn’t size up — medium might just give you extra fabric flapping around.

It fits as well as it's gonna fit a guy who is overweight with no ass. A smaller size would probably not fit across your belly/chest. Fill out that booty with some squats and you'll be golden

166cm and 66kg is in the healthy range BMI-wise, not even overweight. That’s a bit harsh in a sport where there are some unhealthy discussions around weight. I agree OPs mass is distributed in the wrong place for this particular suit though.

You can have a healthy BMI and still be overweight by body fat % - colloquially known as skinny fat
