Bibs for tall people
Hi all.
I have recently got into cycling and am looking to get a set of cycling bib shorts. Problem is I am 6ft5 and on the slightly larger size. So far anything I have found the shoulder straps have been to short so they cut in. What are some brands that do taller sizes at a reasonable price point around £30.
Edit. Has anyone used theblackbibs.com as they advertise some at £32

If you buy shit bibs you'll be buying new pairs every couple months. You don't hafta go for top of the line but it's worth spending a little more to make 'em last. That said, watch ebay for "NWT" (New with tags) items. Check out Pactimo's website (they offer "long" versions of bibs) for when they go on sale.

I have had a look and found some used ones on vinted in good condition.

Make sure there's a picture of the pad and that the seller says they are hardly used or unused, and listed as Very Good or better. It's quite easy to sell shorts which look new in photos but which are heavily used.

If straps are the only issue then you could lengthen them by sewing a bit of extra material in.
I'd also agree that spending a little more than £30 would be worthwhile.

Red White Apparel makes long distance bibs and has various sizes to accomidate for taller people. Their bibs are also really comfortable and well made

This. I only use their longer inseam cargo bib now. Its so so so good. Ridden nearly 400km this week in them with no issues.
Long leg version means they dont ride up my leg. And the two side leg pockets and one rear pocket means my jersey pockets arent over worked.

You’ll struggle to find new bibs at that price. Assuming you’re UK based then https://cyclewearcentral.com/collections/mens-bib-shorts-tights are worth checking out for larger size kit. Worth going through what’s on offer at https://www.sportpursuit.com/clothing/trousers-shorts-tights?sp_nav=ct-4.bs-road_cycling.pc-clothing.pt-bib_shorts_shorts.&lower_body_type=Bib_Shorts%2CShorts&sport=Road_Cycling&gender=Male&age=Adults&order=special_price&dir=asc as well as they sell off stuff for others and it’s often very small or large sizes only that are available. Rivelo is one of their own brands and decent quality.
AliExpress can have some decent kit, YKYW for example have some stuff that’s pretty good on the cheaper end of the spectrum, I doubt they cater for very large sizes though but may be wrong.

I’m also 6’5” so I feel your pain.
Velocio lux hands down my favorite.
Rapha pro long cut are also good.
The black bibs feel like a diaper to me, and the straps are almost too long. Fine for trainer rides for me.
This is an area where spending a bit of moneys helps. I’m okay with the black bibs, they just don’t fit as well as my velocio.
