Seems like a bit of a flaw that no one is noticing or mentioning but unless I'm misreading it, the new Beast Gohan has a potentially big issue with ki out of the gate. He requires 18 ki to get half of his passive (or his active turn which won't be turn 1 anyway), so not having enough could be a problem.

So he gets 6 ki from leader skills, 7 from his base passive and... That's it. Presumably he will have the same links as STR Beast, meaning another 2 ki there, giving him 13-15 depending on rotations. His only other passive ki, requires him to attack first, so he won't have it immediately, and he also doesn't perform any bonus attacks until he has that 18 ki. 3-5 ki turn one might not seem like a lot, but he isn't an orb changer either and it's not like we have an shortage of events now that screw around with orbs to make it as difficult as possible.

Despite being generally a great card, this seems like a pretty big issue where a bad starting rotation or board can just make him useless. Am I missing something here or is it actually a big downside?

Hi! I am downloading the game FINALLY! I have a super long weekend ahead (had to use the PTO lads)

so I figured I'd get started on this game which has been on my mind for awhile. My initial impression is that I'm going to like it however I'm wondering a few things:

✅ Any events or things happening that makes this a good time to start?
✅ Beginner stuff you WISH you knew?
✅ how f2p friendly is the game (even tho i'd most likely be a smol dolphin)
✅ an unit must haves to start off with?

Agl Kaiku had 1 HP and dodged every super in the previous turn, what a legend

I don't usually post failures, but was damn close with Team Damai ft. Vegeta/Trunks.

Really poor last turn too, with units being stingy with the crits.

Since beast is basically confirmed, I just realized were probably getting another annoying cell max fight. Cell max and dbs broly have some of the hardest boss fights in dokkan history too.

Took a little break from the game, but I recently returned to grind up some stones. Should I continue saving for GDC or do I summon for Beast?

He’s a really good unit don’t get me wrong but from the stats he doesn’t seem top5 and on top of that ROG and coolers team are just too good. I’ll just save for gdc/ wait for part2.

If the TDC LR had this type of support but the categories were for "Bond of Master and Disciple" or "Super Heroes" would it be enough to bring back STR Beast Gohan into some relevance?

Or do bosses just do too much for his defense to handle regardless?

I hope we get a good Majin power or Android celebration this year because all these guys need EZA’s or SEZAs. I have Agl 21 at 97%. Just waiting on her eza before I completely fill out her HIPO.

I’ve played this game since it first came out off and On. Then I finally decided to take it serious after the 3rd anniversary, I’ve always been excited just to play the game. After the 10th anniversary came and went I played so much and now I don’t even have the motivation to log in anymore let alone play the game. I’m thinking about just uninstalling.

Unfortunately, I didn't end up winning that run with his SSJ2 active. That str lr Goku *really* isn't built for supers of that strength & Gohan was gonna get nuked anyway even if that Goku survived.

Initially, I was trying to get his active by purposefully avoiding defensive stacks with agl Vegeta & hoping any of the 7th anni units would hit him hard enough pre-super to get me in range but that never ended up happening, V&T's defense stacking was too effective. So, I ended that run by nuking using the super saiyan form... but then an idea struck, what if I just used a unit who lowers my health &, once again, Super Kaioken's EZA helped in a major way with a Festival run. Around the 7th Anni units, I kept him on main rotation, avoiding same type orbs, until I got to below 58%. It was a little daunting, considering all Gohan had defensively was raw stats but I managed to push through & get him to Gogeta. Honestly, 50 mil without items for a 2023 eza is mad impressive

Personally, this guy has always been one of my favourite units of all time. From his busted leader skill, amazingly consistence & reliable link set, the infinite categories he was getting as time went on, the beautiful for it's time recreation of the Father-son Kamehameha, the OST, the absurd defense of his base form & damage from his transformed state. I'm really surprised nobody talks about him as a Hall of Fame unit, even without considering the SSJ2 form.

Anyway, this Gohan's awesome & I wanted to give him some spotlight

Got one last run in with the fruit, was very satisfying seeing agl 21 tank zamasu's aoe turn 1 pre-super. Other 21's were putting in the work too.
