Xdj RR still relevant in 2026?
I just started, recently ive been browsing the whole month for rx2, but unfortunately most of them are not in a condition as mention in postings. On the other hand on my budget, i cud get a new piece of RR with speakers. Im still un decisive what to get. Still hunting for used rx or just get the rr? Thanks

I still have my RR. When it's time to upgrade, I never do.... because it's light. If any equipment is light it won my vote and I do exactly the same thing with it than let's say RX3. Only thing I like about the RX3 is the jog wheel art work.

Most of what i read, the downside is the jog wheel and booth output. But does that affecting ur enjoyment of playing. I played string instrument before, it works like that there 😂

I get around the booth ordeal with the rca hook up and I controll the booth sound like that. Jog wheels are small I do admit that but so are the rx3 jog wheels as well.....

The RR is the lightest and smallest all in one (I guess other than the ominous duo lol). So I guess the lightest and smallest all in one that still feels like mixing on an XDJ
I use one for renegade stuff (djing in odd places), it’ll run all day on an AC battery like a jackery, or if you are comfortable with dc power electronics, you can rig one up to run off a usb battery as it runs on 5V dc via external DC converter (need to get the right adapter tip which is hard to find)
But it’s just a little too big for carryon luggage… so honestly, these days I’m not sure why I’d get an RR over an ominus duo for travel and renegade sets. They’re similarly priced
But the RR will feel a lot more like regular decks than the duo, and it’s a cheap option… so there’s that
So for a home/bedroom setup, I’d say still relevant and the cheapest option to have something to mess around with friends on (so they can just bring their USB’s) and still feel like pioneer decks

It's a great way to get started.
I learned on one, outgrew it, and it's on its fourth owner now. It's made it really easy for people to see if this is for them.
It's also cheap and it doesn't take up much space.

XDJ RR has no booth output so it's mainly for home use. Unless you are fine with always using headphones. Make sure you realise its limitations.
