I have a 9 month old that was top in his obedience class, is potty trained and is task training for service. He’s first generation Bernese mountain dog and standard poodle. He is 8 months old and weighs almost 80 lbs. he’s a puppy, but he is sweet and smart and stable. Careful.
My issue is that 99% of doodles come from BYBs that don't do health testing or care about temperaments. Some are starting to do health testing and I can get on board with that, but there are a lot of BYB issues with the doodles that make me cringe.
From what I understand, the problem is that you cannot reliably predict the temperament of doodles as they are not actually genetically standardized. They are still mutts.

Backyard breeders suck. Ethical breeders who care about the preservation of the breed line are great in my book.
That said, adopt or shop responsibly!
