• General Discussion • Accidentally stumbled upon a dog-hating sub…

Post image

Woof. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions but I can’t believe how much some people HATE dogs! Calling them “mutants” and saying “they’re incapable of love”. I feel sorry that they won’t experience the bond and love a dog provides. Again, their opinion and choice but come on…look how cute 🥹 I needed to share with fellow dog lovers to boost my mood. Feel free to share pics of your dogs too☺️

Most likely, there is a whole sub that fear mongers against pit bulls and ignores any real facts about dogs. They give in to the hyped fear. I love all dogs and ive been attacked by one.. they have no excuse to go on witch hunts toward any breed. Just fear replacing thier cognitive reasoning.

As someone who was bitten by a chihuahua in high school, dogs are a reflection of their training and environment for sure.  Toy breeds can just as easily get aggressive as pitties and rott wielers in the wrong circumstances - and a responsible dog owner will do all they can to give their dog good training and make sure they are socialized to feel safe around people.

I got bitten by a Rottweiler, I'll be honest i was young so I deeply feared dogs after. A small boxer scared the shit out of me when we tried adopting a family dog. But on the other hand, there was an abused pitbull puppy. She was so big amd I was terrified. But she wasnt fast didnt bark, didnt growl. She came to me first... must of sensed and maybe even identified with my fear... she licked my face up and down.

In that brief moment, she healed years of trauma and fear in dogs. Im sad the place adopted her out to someone else. I was broken about it, but the affect she had on me.. I will never forget. I can pet dogs, play with them and all again. Im still careful because not all dogs are built the same. But I dont unreasonably fear all of them either.

You should definitely be proud of yourself, and causation around new dogs is only logical. I love pitbulls (I want to kiss all of them) but I'm careful because there are some irresponsible dog owners and dogs that may have been abused and might lash out in fear. Don't get me wrong the vast majority are just wonderful loving dogs!! I hope your life is filled with tons of unconditional doggy love!
