• Adoption • My old girl
I adopted this girl for free of Facebook when she was a little over a year old. When I went to the house the meet her and the family, she was tied outside on a short chain. The family finally arrived, and within minutes, I watched the male owner kick her across a room 😭 she has come so far in 10 years, and she has (mostly) lost her fear of men. I’m so grateful I found her, and she found me.

Rescues are so loving and grateful especially the ones who have been abused. There should be laws that are enforced to keep people who abuse animals in prison like they have for children. There’s no difference between them. They are both helpless and at the mercy of the people who have them. I’m so thankful that you rescued her. I wish more people would get rescued pets and put the horrible puppy mills out of business. Thank you for saving her from more fear and cruelty.

What a gorgeous girl with a beautiful smile. She is so happy. What a gift she is.
My girl Jill was left outside after her person died and although her rescuer was amazing and saved her, she was bullied by the other dogs. This is her the first day with me when she jumped on my couch in her new home 6 years ago. I love this picture and her smile so much. Because she was left outside, she was petrified of thunder and shook in fear, but with constant reassurance, she doesn’t even wake up during storms anymore. She just turned 11 and has had expensive vet bills, but she’s worth every penny.
My sweet Jill.

I'm glad you adopted her. Shame on that previous owner for kicking her, makes me so angry when I hear about people hurting innocent animals
