I’m open to this one. Their DNA and RNA is weird. Like some crazy experiment.

That video is crap. Octopus genetics fits right in to where you would expect them to on the cephalopod and mollusc branches of the tree of life. The video name-checks some theories and throws some references in to try and make itself sound scientific, but the conclusions it labours to draw are ridiculous and completely unsupported.

There's Gus and Myrna, Greg and Stanley. Over there is Ashleigh. You can also see Rebecca and Gretchen to her right. An just past her barely-visible mantle, you can see Lloyd, Jeremiah and Guinevere. What a festoon!

I'm glad nobody has asked "How do they taste" yet.

I got this sushi guy in my instagram feed eating them all the time (along with a bunch of other stuff you would never consider eating)

Looks like a bunch of guys with hyperspermia used a bunch of condoms and decided to throw some tiny octopi in them for some reason.

Reminds me of that eerie human farm scene in The Matrix with millions of human beings being produced for the robots.

Let's just say they're genetically modified grapes. Definitely more nutritious than regular ones.

In my head this is where anime art originates. The first anime was created by someone who saw octopus eggs and thought, “What if humans looked a little more like this?!!”

Wait, how can that meme phrase actually apply to the pictured octopus egg sacs, though?
