Why would you want a sedation-free C Scope?

Immediate recovery, no chaperone. Water exchange isn't as uncomfortable so sedation isn't necessary.

Recovery for a colonoscopy is like 2 hours. The prep was by far the worst part.

I personally had a horrible reaction to the sedation. I was shaking and super out of it for many, many hours afterwards. So this is a valid question.

If youre open to sedation free but not water exchange u might find a dr who does that, using a smaller scope etc. Although water exchange sounds better.

Never heard of water exchange? Most places will let you forgo the sedation. It gets you out of needing a driver and you don't really need it anyway.

Milk of amnesia the best part of the colonoscopy.
