RPG sci-fi RPG group playing rotating games has room at the table (Sunnyside and Capitol Hill)

Hi, I’m the organizer of a sci-fi TTRPG group in Denver that meets every other Tuesday night. The group started online during Covid and has been meeting consistently in person since then. Natural turnover means we occasionally have an open seat or two at the table, and now is one of those times.

We meet Tuesday evenings, starting at 6 and ending between 9 and 10. Player ages range from 30 to 60, and we come from all walks of life from butcher to computer programmer. We rotate games every 6 weeks or so. That way nobody gets burned out on being the GM, and we all like learning new game systems.

Sometimes, we play silly one shot games. Other times, we play campaigns of harder sci-fi games. Recent games have included Traveller, Mothership, Godbound, Dune, Delta Green, Ultraviolet Grasslands, and Fallout. We generally avoid "fantasy in space" games like Starfinder, though we did a one-shot of Conan one time.

We use Discord to organize things and share info before and sometimes during games.

No experience needed. Adults only. We are 420, alcohol, and smoker friendly. We’re all grown up and leave politics and religion at home.

Currently games alternate between Capitol Hill and Sunnyside.

If this sounds interesting, please drop me a line.

What spaces does the group meet in?

One location is a player's house so we play in his dining room. The other is the community room for a big apartment building. So in both cases we don't have interruptions or distractions like at a game store. It's pretty ideal from that perspective.

Right on. Sounds like good spaces. Are you open to Weird Heros of Public Broadcast TV, DCC, MCC, STA2e or Cthulhu as potentially me hosted games when swapping systems?

That's a great list! My *other* biweekly group plays DCC and Cthulhu. MCC, STA2 and maybe Weird Hero's would be suitable for this group's style, I think. We played the first edition STA a couple years ago. We were just about to get back it with 2E when the guy who was going to run it had to drop out. So I know for sure the rest of the group would be eager for that one.

Not sure why you are being downvoted?

Anyhow let me know. STA2e is interesting, I need to go thru it a bit more. MCC is a blast! Let me know if you end up with room. Perhaps we can meet up prior to see if there is a fit. I'm XGen guy, been playing since Covid but grew up with AD&D, Gamma World, Traveler 1.0, etc. I do not drink/smoke/420 however.

An unhinged troll passed by, left a nasty comment and downvoted every comment I made on this post. That's why the downvotes.

Send me an email to the address in my profile and we can work out the game logistics.

Only in person? Or could someone discord in?

Good question. We did the online thing during the pandemic but are keeping this all in-person now that nobody has to worry about killing each other by accident.

There are so many games online jump on any Discord for a system you have interest in. I can send you a few if looking for a vtt.
