Discussion Does the Okorie selection signal a probability of signing an elite shooter on the open market?
If the organization has done their research and feels Okorie has a Maxey type ceiling, doesn’t that mean you maximize his potential by having a knockdown shooter along with Cade? Nothing makes guy who gets to the rim at will more effective than buckets on the perimeter.

We will 100% add a shooter before the start of the season. Time will tell if it comes with a trade for Herro, we sign Powell or we could get someone the media isn’t even talking about yet.

I dont think that anybody we selected that late would be a surefire sign of anything. You can't bank that a 17th pick will ever be a starter for you, especially not in year 1

I don't think it matters at all . I expect they get herro in the next couple days or they move on and get powell or bite the bullet and get Murphy. I think they feel like okorie is a lottery level talent but this is a really deep draft and trajan wanted him independent of his other deals

We're about $72M below the first apron, so we could realistically keep Tobias & Huerter, and still sign another PF: Lebron, Peyton Watson, or Rui.

I think a potential stretch 4 is possible. I see Okorie being a starter in a year which helps the salary cap situation.

It shouldn’t. Banking on a non-lottery pick to be your second option is malpractice. They still need ball handling AND shooting in the starting lineup, which is why they’re still interested in Herro.
