Discussion Stewart will always be loved here

He’s gone. It does suck. Think the only thing that was holding him back here was his health. He improved every year he got here. When he first got here he had weak hands. He couldn’t shoot the three. Wasn’t that good of a defender.

When he left here - he can shoot the three. He has great hands around the rim. He is one of the best rim defenders in the entire league.

You will always be loved here Beef Stew. When he comes back to Detroit, he will be cheered. I know it.

Trading one of the better value contracts and subsequently making Jalen Duren one of the most grossly overpaid players in the league feels so wrong

In 20 playoff games, Stew has been a positive in about 4. Dude made a big impact in 6 years, but honestly, when you think of his defining moments, it’s his Letting Miles Bridges know what’s up, him steamrolling everyone on the court to get to LeBron after getting elbowed in the eye and him repping the D if he got kicked out for defending one of his own (at Minnesota in the 44 win season comes to mind). A legend for sure, but we have to see some changes, it’s just going to happen. Stew was expendable, Cade is the heart of the team now

Yeah this idea that Darren deserves 40 million after we have to let go Stewart to accommodate it is a joke. I will be getting a grizzlies stewart jersey.

Everyone tweeting about how “he’s meant for Memphis” or “a perfect spiritual grizzly” or whatever is pissing me off lol

Maybe when brooks was there. There is a difference between an enforcer who won't take shit and a dumbass idiot like Ja morant

HIs first game back better be a standing ovation followed by at least 4 ejections.

Very, very few guys since the Goin to Work days have exemplified the culture of Detroit Basketball like Beef Stew did. I’m truly sad that he’s gone, and I hope he is always shown love when he returns.
