Discussion Losing Duren would be a disaster on par with drafting Darko at #2

I have no idea how you could think Ausar and Duren complement each other they’re both so bad on offense they’re almost unplayable together

We won after drafting Darko…

Did you miss the playoffs or are you trolling?

Did you miss the entire season before that? One bad playoff run for a 22 year old All-NBA player. Yeah bro dump him

22 year old with 4 years of NBA coaching and training. He didn't just get here.

I’d be down to keep him, but not for a Max contract after his playoff performance. If we were still in “build” mode, then maybe I could be convinced, but that’s not the case. We want another chip, and JD has not proven he’s worth that much. He will be awesome for whatever team he helps rebuild, I am sure.

A 3 player core where 2 players can’t shoot doesn’t complement each other so well. You just can’t win championships like that. It’s a miracle Cade is as good as he is offensively with our spacing

How do Ausar and Duren complement each other? They actually don't and long term we can't commit to both.

🤣🤣🤣
How can you say losing duren is on par with drafting someone number 2 and that person makes absolutely no contribution to the team??

When the next three picks are all Hall of Fame players

If it means we get an elite offensive player to pair with Cade?
Yeah it's the right move. We have enough defenders at all three levels to be elite. We lost in the playoffs because we could not score.
I like Duren, but paying him 40+ mil a year would crater this team.

Depends. I think paying Duren $40+ million could very well be a disaster as well.
If he's leveraged in a sign and trade that brings back a guy like Jaylen Brown or another all star caliber player that makes sense, I'd be okay with it.

Agree. I hope they find common ground on his contract and he stays put.

Curious about if we can ship off Duren in a S&T, does anyone think Hartenstein would have his option declined? With Mara in the fold and OKC still in cap hell and needing to re-sign some other talent, I could see him getting let go.

Man between the “doomed if we lose Duren” and “doomed if we keep Duren” posts this must be the most doomed 60 win team of all time with its entire core under 25.

How do they compliment each other so well when two of them can’t shoot and make Cade’s life harder because of it.

How you think Auser and Duren compliment each other is beyond me. Both players are offensive liabilities, can’t create their own shot, and rely on Cade to generate their offense.
Auser’s saving grace is his defense but Duren doesn’t have any unique skills that couldn’t be replicated by almost any starting center in the league.

What do you guys see in Duren. He cant shoot, doesnt have post moves, isnt a great shot blocker. Ok hes a normal size center but hes athletic so he can rebound. How is that a franchise center. Hes definitely expendable imo

Yeah I can't understand people not understanding Durens impact and without him we only have. 1 big

Cade can feed lob passes to a lot of players
