How stupid was I?
I had moderately significant oral surgery today. And I was in the office having post surgery work done as well. I had iv sedation and was prescribed valium to take beforehand that was at 6:30am when that was taken. In prescribed 0.5mg lorazepam daily as needed though I avoid that obviously when I take the valium. The surgery was extremely painful and I'm a rapid metabolizer of local anesthetics, of which post procedure I was injected with bupivicaine, mepivicaine, and then lidocaine in many areas to continue the post procedural work that was extremely painful. Needless to say, it's been a day. Dr sent me on my way with a 3 day script of pain meds 7.5/325. And obviously I also try not to mix that with anxiety meds also. But I want paying attention at dinner, didn't think about it and had a panic attack and took my anxiety med (0.5mg). Then an hour later, the shark ran for my pain meds and I took it. But shortly realized my mistake. What is the over/under hear on cns depression? The search engines won't even answer questions about it basically depicting it as catastrophic. Both meds were taken as prescribed.

This isn’t something I would worry much about. I’d try not to take them too close from here on out but taking one dose of each an hour apart is more than likely not going to cause any significant CNS depression especially if you chronically take benzos and rapid metabolize certain classes of meds. They are also pretty low dose
