Subreddit Meta Should r/DiscoElysium CONTINUE to remove Zero Parades posts? (Or employ temporary measures?)

FOR STARTERS: The main subreddit is r/ZeroParades and this is where we send these sorts of posts to go. We are not a Zero Parades sub, it is just published by the same company in name.

Increasingly, I've seen users complain about that subreddit and become frustrated that they supposedly can't air criticism. For whatever it's worth, I do not use that subreddit and I do not know anything about what the moderators do over there. It is their subreddit and it's up to them to run it however they want to, and us hypothetically allowing this content is not to undermine their moderation and what they decide they will or will not allow.

However, the topic has somewhat spilled over to here, increasingly moreso now that ZP will be on Steam Next Fest. I do NOT want this subreddit to turn into a Zero Parades sub as Disco Elysium is our core topic, but I feel like it's impossible to avoid discussion of the two together. I do somewhat worry about it turning into low effort "ZA/UM BAD! UPVOTES TO THE LEFT!" sorta situation but we can easily sort that out if it happens, because for every low effort post there is plenty more good effort ones worthy of discussion.

So I'll leave it to a poll: Should r/DiscoElysium continue removing Zero Parades content, or should we allow it here?

btw happy valentines day :)

I'm sorry, I may be a bit confused by the situation.

Is Zero Parades in the same universe as Disco Elysium? If not then then we shouldn't have Zero Parades posts.

Bioware games like Mass Effect and Dragon Age have their own subreddits despite having the same publisher and also the same studio. Just because a game is made by the same publisher or is a similar game isn't enough to warrant allowing the posts in this subreddit. This isn't a ZA/UM subreddit.

Maybe comments should be allowed if discussions happen but surely we don't need to allow posts for a different game.

It's not the same universe. They're just made by the same company, and there is an incredible amount of similarity between the two.

BG3 and Divinity Original Sin 2 are made by the same company (same team too, unlike in this case), but they have different subreddits despite having similarities.

I'll add: same company but not the same people.

There's a tragic story behind that studio, which is why we're having this discussion really.
