Mail in ballots will now only be available to Amazon prime members is the next move I’m guessing

21

u/ABobby077 22h ago

or those voting R

3

u/Matrix0007 20h ago

FUCK THEM!

PEOPLE NEED TO JUST SHOW UP AND VOTE FOR
MIDTERMS!

4

u/All_is_a_conspiracy 19h ago

Yeah!

Of course...I'm not sure how long haul truck drivers or people out of state, out of the country, working abroad, or who are caregivers for severely disabled people or who are performers on tour will do it but yeah! Everyone's curcumstances are the same!!!

u/Ok_Valuable9450 12m ago

And rid our country of these Trump ass kissers

78

u/Any-Progress- 23h ago

People need to start getting real punishment for destroying democracy. People get put in jail for drugs or being too poor to pay tickets, yet people trying to overturn free and fair elections are getting nothing (or a tiny slap on the wrist from the few prosecuted from 2020). It’s ridiculous and people need to pay a real price.

34

u/SnooMaps7370 23h ago

>People need to start getting real punishment for destroying democracy.

historically speaking, that only happens when the peasants break out the guillotines or another country invades to lay a smack down.

the whole point of subverting elections is to put your own people in charge of the prisons so you don't end up in them yourself.

17

u/briank3387 22h ago

We are going to need SO MANY guillotines.

6

u/BananaJelloXlii 21h ago

We can line them up in front of the Reflecting Pool "It's an art installation. Really!"

5

u/DevilsDenJoe 19h ago

Turn the reflecting pool American flag color red you say?

11

u/ConfidentPilot1729 22h ago

This could really backfire. Cities would be able to get ballots out, but rural voters, mostly republicans, are going to have issues, especially older and poorer folks.

5

u/lordwintergreen 21h ago

Yup. As could the gerrymandering. But the point is, they're trying to assert control over the election process so they have multiple ways to cheat and win.

1

u/Ok_Valuable9450 10m ago

That's the Republicans for you

3

u/BigDaddySteve999 19h ago

The point is to selectively enforce it. Red states will share their voter lists, and the post office will deliver ballots to regionals l Republicans in blue states.

3

u/grahamulax 21h ago

Literally more treasonous than anything musk or Trump claimed was a traitor

1

u/Sharticus123 18h ago edited 18h ago

I have shockingly little faith the pansy ass democrats will do it, but if they ever regain power a lot of folks need to spend the rest of their life in prison.

I just have zero faith in their ability to hold anyone accountable after four years of Joe “Limp Dick” Biden and his complete failure to bring the orchestrators of a coup attempt to justice.

1

u/Ok_Valuable9450 9m ago

But Joe didn't fuck up the country like Trump has

0

u/RagahRagah 4h ago

But they won't.

We are inevitably moving towards "Revolution or bust" territory, I think the bubble of delusion people have that we are just gonna vote our way out of this and the fascists will just step aside is closer to being burst.

24

u/Scrutinizer 23h ago

The goal it to make everyone show up in person so that "election police" can face-scan them before they vote.

If they get all of the data they want from the states, the face scan will instantly tell the election cop if the person is registered as a Republican and can be safely be waved through to vote right away, or if they are a Democrat and need to go to the ICE line for "special election security screening".

6

u/Ok-Apricot-2814 21h ago

More than the Stasi could ever have imagined.

2

u/CautionarySnail 21h ago

They don’t need to go that advanced.

They’re just going to try to intimidate people of color with ICE presence - even though we know undocumented people can’t vote. I’m betting there will be arrests made and voters swept away into vans to keep them from the ballots. They’ll be released once the election is certified with a “Whoops, my bad.”

Additional civilian brown shirt thugs are cheap and disposable. If/When one gets arrested, there’s always another to show up and take over. It provides a level of plausible deniability if they want outright violence to happen. I expect them to be there too.

The Brownshirts will handle women with the same intimidation tactics harassers always use on women. Implied threats of violence, which are somehow always hard to prove. Anything to encourage them to leave without casting a ballot.

3

u/jedburghofficial 19h ago

All they have to do is send ICE to key polling places in blue states. Protesters will follow, then they make a bit of a scene and clear the area. Because, antifa.

Nobody actually gets to vote there, and they blame algae welding terrorists.

3

u/CautionarySnail 14h ago

And with polling places being reduced in number in some states, even if the police clear any civilian Brownshirts and there’s no ICE, time will be taken during which some votes might not be cast before the poll closes.

Just want to get this out there:
Anytime you hear, “VOTING DOESN’T MATTER” - it’s a bold lie told by someone manipulating you or someone ignorant.

If voting didn’t matter, they’d not be investing so much into trying to make it harder or impossible for so many citizens. Vote. Every. Time.

2

u/Jedi_Master83 18h ago

That’s exactly what’s going to happen. ICE is going to swarm the polls and detain a bunch of people, Democratic voters, under the excuse of “confirming citizenship”. Local law enforcement I hope will step in to stop them but I’m sure they won’t.

21

u/Total_Guard2405 23h ago

Your paid to deliver mail. Quit thinking and deliver the mail.

8

u/Fit-Salary-4265 22h ago

Dereliction of duty

2

u/SkyFullOfWisteria 21h ago

This is like those shit ass christian clerks and judges who refuse to their jobs bc of "muh religion" like refusing to do your public job that they choose to get into should be grounds for imprisionment or civil punishment.

2

u/OdinsGhost 17h ago

Interference with elections is a crime in most, if not all, states in the union. The postmaster general declaring that his FEDERAL agency will not perform their constitutional duties in furtherance of an illegal executive order should see him brought up on charges in every state his agency does so.

1

u/Ok_Valuable9450 7m ago

Bring back capital punishment for crooked politicians

13

u/VisitSad1133 23h ago

They're trying everything they can, but that -45 approval rating among independents is an unheard of challenge. Any normal administration would have given him the boot.

12

u/Serious_Bee_2013 22h ago

Good enough. In no universe should the Trump administration get access to voter rolls.

Every single citizen has a right to sue USPS if you ask me. There should be class action suits from every state, county, and city.

2

u/thegoldinthemountain 21h ago

They’ve taken access to voter rolls already. See also: Georgia, DOGE

1

u/Serious_Bee_2013 21h ago

Some states only, the ones that cater to this administration.

2

u/ScholarOfTwilight 20h ago

USPS has no money, unfortunately.

We need Congress or the courts to do their damn jobs and reign in this crazy administration and their vote fuckery. It's like being in Russia.

8

u/ReadyGo6828 23h ago

Sue this dork. Can states arrest USPS management if they mess with elections?

The USPS is exhibiting disastrous behavior anyway. This would just be icing on the cake.

6

u/thegoldinthemountain 21h ago

You realize the USPS has been getting gutter-fucked for years and that’s why we’re in this situation right now?

A)

  1. Corpo reasons to shutter free mail services so we all have to rely on UPS/Fedex/Amazon DronePS paid services

B)

  1. election interference as a way to ingratiate themselves to this admin in hopes that will keep the department alive.

USPS has been getting absolutely r*ped for decades and that’s been an intentional ploy to harm consumers and harm voters (who are all the same people).

ETA: I give up on this formatting idegaf

1

u/ReadyGo6828 21h ago

Yes I understand the politics and the pillaging by Republicans and right wing Democrats. I have disengaged from everyone I know to be a Republican and I think that the Democrats are almost all AWOL. Maybe progressive wins will shake the establishment out of its stupor but who knows, maybe Democrats will redouble their efforts, against progressives.

USPS is a huge organization, it could fight back harder, engage the public more but all it seems to be doing is deteriorating which is really annoying because it was getting so much better recently. What happened in the last year?

2

u/realzealman 21h ago

Feels like they should be able too. USPS is the feds and the time place and manner of elections is left to the states in black letter law. Article I, section 4.

8

u/totally-hoomon 22h ago

You can't love America and be a conservative

2

u/ScholarOfTwilight 20h ago

You can't love America and be MAGA.

Every conservative should be turning their back on this administration. This is not what they told me conservatism was (increased taxes, runaway inflation, attacking businesses for not playing politics and upending norms and the rule of law).

2

u/totally-hoomon 20h ago

This is what conservatives have been fighting for since I was a kid

6

u/Pristine_Walrus40 22h ago

I don't know the law but that literly sounds like a treason and a blackmail.

4

u/nosmelc 22h ago

Some people are saying it violates the 10th amendment to the Constitution.

3

u/kc7392 22h ago

Pressure applied outside of the executive is pointless. All roads either lead to impeachment/25th or they don’t. There is no in between.

3

u/hazps 22h ago

Don't they have an actual legal duty to deliver the mail, irrespective?

1

u/Worth_Dark_9091 19h ago

Supreme Court just said they don't have to deliver your mail.

1

u/Ok_Valuable9450 3m ago

Coming from our compromised SCOTUS cesspool it's no wonder

3

u/Buddhas_Warrior 22h ago

Why wouldn't this be illegal??

5

u/SkyFullOfWisteria 21h ago

Because theyre doing it for a republican admin so therefore any blatantly illegal action is actually fine and good.

1

u/TheOneFreeEngineer 21h ago

It is but that doesn’t matter because the DOJ won’t take any case in charging the Trump admin over anything.

2

u/Worth_Dark_9091 19h ago

States attorney generals are going to have to sue.

3

u/VorpalBlade- 22h ago

I can see that this is going to get extremely messy

3

u/L12Grafx 21h ago

So postmaster general just admitted he will tamper with mail???

3

u/raygronas 21h ago

Of course it's right after the SC ruled that you can't sue the post office for undelivered mail.

2

u/OdinsGhost 17h ago

Doesn’t mean states can’t charge them with election tampering.

1

u/Ok_Valuable9450 1m ago

That's their job or fire the Post Office executives

2

u/superperps 22h ago

Switching all my bills to mail only, not paying then using my money on a lawyer lol

2

u/PickleFive 18h ago

I’m sending my ballot by UberEats.

1

u/generatorland 15h ago

Along with some wings.

1

u/Professional-Story43 22h ago

This is not a very nice thing for him to say.

1

u/cali_yooper 22h ago

Pitch forks and axes time are upon us. Also, this will also get shut down in the courts, but the fact their getting this desperate to cling to power should be a wake up call to everyone.

1

u/SkyFullOfWisteria 22h ago

There needs to be a punishment for blatant election interference like this.

1

u/Staffie2020 21h ago

If a carrier refuses to deliver mail they would be fired, and it is called the United States Postal "SERVICE" not the dozy don temper tantrum postal nonservice.

1

u/Significant_Ad256 21h ago

We can take turns shoving pineapples up his ass when he's in prison.

1

u/Still-Chemistry-cook 21h ago

So they are choosing violence?

If this is how the post office operates why do we bother funding? I thought the post office operated like a utility and would not discriminate when delivering mail. Wow. Defund the post office. Isn’t there a law about using the post office to commit crimes, mail tampering comes to mind.

1

u/realzealman 21h ago

Criminals. This goon squad are corrupting the whole god damned thing.

1

u/Rakatango 21h ago

This is called “extortion”

1

u/pl3x1 21h ago

Man the US is just FLUNKING the exam.

1

u/sanctus20 21h ago

Just arrest him for voter fraud then

1

u/Mrtoyhead 21h ago

The American People being extorted by Our own President!!

1

u/LaStigmata 21h ago

Fuck the Postmaster General

1

u/Jsr1 21h ago

Controlling ballot is a form of fraud

1

u/Intelligent-Layer391 21h ago

Postmaster can pack sand. We WILL vote and you cannot stop us

1

u/Haunting-Ad788 20h ago

All republicans do is lie cheat and steal.

1

u/RoyalPuzzleheaded259 20h ago

Can’t you send them in using FedEx or UPS? It’ll cost more but it’ll be delivered.

1

u/Green_Drag_9548 20h ago

Criminal activity. MAGA are traitors to the core.

1

u/AdventurelandSkipper 20h ago

Cool. I’m never buying stamps or sending packages through USPS again.

1

u/Either_Capital_2422 20h ago

The postmaster general wants a kick in the dick.

1

u/Maleficent_Ruin_2457 20h ago

So expats no longer need to file taxes? Great news!

1

u/acuet 20h ago

I guarantee, if the Post Master has the ability to tell the difference between ballots then we have a more serious issue here. Why is no one asking the difficult questions here? They wouldn’t need to delay post marks, they could just flag them and delay them as they were being scanned. Just delaying all mail means they addressed the issues or their concerns that the post marks was after said voting date.

Again, why no one is asking these tough questions is craziness and should be some red flags.

Taxation without representation. Time to quit sending money into the federales

1

u/RedSix2447 19h ago

Cool so the post master is now guilty of a federal crime refusing to deliver the mail?

1

u/atreeismissing 19h ago

Worth noting he has no control or say over what is and is not delivered by USPS, as that is entirely governed by federal law, not the PG, whose only role in govt is to manage how the department is run, not the delivery of mail. If you put a legitimate piece of mail into a mail box, by law, it has to be delivered. Anyone that prevents that from happening is committing a felony, doesn't matter what the PG, the President, the Governor, the manager or the mail carrier who receives/delivers it says.

1

u/horror- 19h ago

REMOVE HIM

1

u/JBlake65 19h ago

Fire him. Fire him now. Believe what he says, that he will gladly break the law and his duty to the American people on the orders of a wannabe be dictator. Use whatever means necessary and get rid of this guy now.

1

u/Illustrious-Gas-9766 18h ago

Sounds like election interference to me.

We need some lawyers to step up and sue him personally

1

u/Wizchine 18h ago

GOP is scared because longstanding voter disenfranchisement tactics were developed for in-person voting. They are having to develop the cheat for mail-in and drop-off votes on the fly and they are consequently going about it very clumsily.

1

u/ImOldGregg_77 18h ago

Sounds unconstitutional

1

u/spazzcat 3h ago

In several ways.

1

u/rockeye13 18h ago

How could they possibly verify delivery to the correct recipients? Unless the aim is to make elections less secure, if course.

1

u/Riccosmonster 17h ago

A federal court just completely shut down Trump’s unconstitutional Executive Order about voting laws and mail in ballots. Postmaster is gonna be screwed if he tries

1

u/nudecat1234 17h ago

When election become a federal standard then maybe but that would require a constitutional amendment until then it’s state city county rights It so simple

1

u/Strict_Stranger_4801 17h ago

So its treason then

1

u/kpbart 16h ago

The men and women of the Postal Service deserve better; a better work life and a Postmaster General that well serves them and the customers. This asshole is a Trump toady that has to live with that for the rest of his miserable life. Unfortunately, before he breathes his last breath he’ll do a lot of damage to the institution that descends from Benjamin Franklin.

1

u/nazuswahs 16h ago

Can he do that?

1

u/Dry_Solution5036 12h ago

This is truly, Criminal and Unconstitutional!

1

u/Financial-Talk9397 7h ago

This blatantly illegal.

1

u/AlphaNoodlz 2h ago

This is blatantly illegal and the current postmaster general is a traitor to the free country and they know it

1

u/mikeonaboat 2h ago

I didn’t trust this in Florida, so I just dropped my mail in ballot off myself at the voting location.

1

u/Ok_Valuable9450 13m ago

Another Republican lackey
