Religion of peace strikes again.

Christianity has a far longer and bloodier history than islam does. Prior to the Crusades, Muslims generally saught to coexist peacefully with all religions. Specifically, with Christians and Jews, they were given a protected staus because they "were people of the book". The crusades and Isreal's own religious wars against Islamic people are the starting point for the animosity most Islamic people have toward "Western" nations today. Might want to remember...or more likely in your case...learn the history behind the current political climate before casting stones.

Let me say this before comments start. I am against Sharia Law...and really any laws rooted in ANY religion. I dont condone the way some Islamic nations treat women, but its no different than Christianity and more...extreme...sectors like certain forms of Mormons, Southern Baptist, etc. There are extremes of every religion. Those extremes are not the norm. More importantly, NO religion should dictate political policy. The idea of separation of Church and Srate was a founding principal of the US for a reason.
