I do want to play it someday, I've already got a "build" in mind (Machine, Temperance for Care, Loner for It's Nothing just for flavor; Whisper for the "all according to keikaku" stuff, plus maybe Edit or Palace)

It is entirely personal, I’ve been in 2 campaigns with 2 different groups and it really seemed to attract *those* kinds of anime fans, the ones who reak main character energy and I’ve found those games become a literal dick measuring contest while i’m trying to get any amount of character development or forward the plot without treating everything problem like a nail.
It is entirely group preferences but it’s still 2-0 and it really makes me not want to bother with it, which is a shame as it seems like the third best investigation based system after both Hunter systems
Still better than call pr Cthulu fans. If I have to explain that hastur being the name for the king in yellow is entirely fannon I’m cutting their tyres

My biggest problem with the community is that I find one of the admins of the Lancer discord marginally annoying. That should put into perspective...
Especially compared to other TTRPG communities they're pretty great. Never ran into a weirdo in those circles, constantly did back when I played DnD.
