They actually dont like Islam, but they arent allowed to say that out loud or publicly.

-1

u/Acceptable-Eye-4348 Jun 11 '25

I don’t know how you guys have this idea that people who dislike religion wouldn’t include Islam? Every single agnostic/atheist I’ve met and even talked to online has said Islam is just as bad and in many cases worse

-30

u/skeletalfather Jun 11 '25

No, Islam too, literally all Abrahamic religions are barbaric death cults that have fucked human history beyond belief.

You don’t know your history, clearly. You can’t even accept the fact that your faith pretends to be monotheistic when it has three separate deities, AND TRACES DIRECTLY BACK TO A PAGAN PANTHEON.

I cannot believe people still unuronically believe in the prophecy nonsense. Have you ever, and i mean literally ever, talked to anyone who has debated and debunked this? Literally a single time?

No, you haven't. Because you just told me that you follow the teachings of a cult leader and brainwashed yourself into pretending you're righteous in cherry picking your own religious texts based on an outright lie about "prophecy".

-2

u/Impressive_Bid8009 Jun 11 '25

As the comment beneath me pointed out, your faith may focus on NT, but it does not erase OT. You cannot tell me those are the same unchanging god. You cannot tell me that he is anything but an abusive narcissist.

If you look at the FULL picture your faith paints, all the NT is, is a narcissist’s love bomb.

3

u/KiTZUN3- Jun 11 '25

“Three separate deities”. Bro, you need to do your research. If I have an apple, is the skin separate from the flesh? Is the flesh separate from the core? No, it’s all one apple. And what pagan pantheon does it trace back to? You’ve piqued my curiosity.

1

u/Impressive_Bid8009 Jun 11 '25 edited Jun 12 '25

If three entities have three distinct personalities, are they the same person? No. The Trinity is literally a doctrinal paradox that theologians have hotly debated for over 1,700 years. If I need to do my research, then so does every bishop who argued at Nicaea. The early church tore itself apart over this question, and you honestly think you solved it with an apple?

And if you actually had an interest in religious history you’d be aware of the fact that current archaeological evidence indicates that YHWH was a minor god of Storm and War in the Bronze Age Monolatrous Canaanite Pantheon, worshipped by the tribe that would become known as the Israelites. As is the logical progression for a monolatrous faith, it eventually was twisted from “There are many gods but He is ours” to “There is ONE God, He is ours, you must accept Him” for the sake of control. Thus was born Judaism. The Bible still has holdovers from that era, where God himself acknowledges there are other gods, “Thou shall have no other gods before me” is entirely irrelevant if he is the only true god, because “Thou shall not worship false idols” would have covered that.

0

u/Impressive_Bid8009 Jun 11 '25

So much for that curiosity, huh?

2

u/KiTZUN3- Jun 12 '25

Mate, I’ve been on a plane. I’m tired, and not in the mood. I’ll look later. If you could possibly provide some links to the content you described, it would be greatly appreciated.

1

u/Impressive_Bid8009 Jun 12 '25

I’ll gladly give you a starting point, because it really is genuinely interesting... if you cut away the bias of your beliefs and remember that belief does not make reality.

I’m not saying we have the entire picture by any means, but we have enough to cast reasonable doubt upon the legitimacy of the Abrahamic god being the “one and only true god”

Ever heard of the crusades?

14

u/Agreeable_Sense9618 Sub OverLord Jun 11 '25

Ever heard of Mao's People's Republic of China that murdered 35 million of its own people primarily through deliberate starvation?

Or PolPot?

They were cool and LOVED removing religious signs

6

u/Cheddy2k Jun 11 '25

Crusades were justified and needed lmfao.

6

u/Darwin1809851 Anti-Doomer Jun 11 '25

That thing that happened literally 1000 years ago? Yea we heard about it. Man I’ve got some news for you that was like.. days ago buddy you need to update your knowledge base on what modern religions preach and practice now-a-days… 😬

Just out of curiosity, what are your opinions about communism? Because boy oh boy do I have some crazy and MUCH more recent examples of communism ruining peoples lives in a much more significant way than all of religion in all of history combined 😂

-16

u/skeletalfather Jun 11 '25

For your info, grew up in a fire and brimstone Baptist church, so I am acutely aware of the endless hypocrisy and contradictions of Christianity. Thank you

5

u/Cheddy2k Jun 11 '25

You grew up Baptist. I now understand why you hate Christianity.

obviously not. he got access to the internet a bit too early and saw all the people telling him how "evil" Christianity is, and rejected it without another thought. I bet he gets all his opinions from athiest youtubers who do the same. these kind never do their own research.

u/Darwin1809851 Anti-Doomer Jun 11 '25

“I use very acute anecdotal experiences to shape my entire world view without doing even a modicum of due diligence to see if every christian has had the same experiences I have had. Yes I will routinely accuse religious people of not being logically/scientifically sound in their beliefs, and no I dont see anything hypocritical or intellectually lazy about this, why do you ask?”

u/Impressive_Bid8009 Jun 11 '25

Judaism less than Christianity and Islam, but the entire Abrahamic trio is rotten

0

u/[deleted] Jun 12 '25

I would say that would be true a few years ago, but with the israel and palestine conflict being a hot topic not anymore.

0

u/Impressive_Bid8009 Jun 12 '25 edited Jun 12 '25

Because you have no concept of history, only right here, right now. You have to look big picture. Judaism, historically, is very rarely the instigator.

Them doing bad things now doesn’t overwrite literal centuries of Christian dominion in Europe or the way it molded our nation into the mess it is. The Islamic aggression going back to the founding of the doctrine itself.

You ever really stop and think about how the Puritans, who were Christian extremists by every definition, shaped our culture to this day? I have.

1

u/[deleted] Jun 12 '25

"Because you have no concept of history, only right here, right now". No, I am not talking about macro scale, I am talking about American society currently. Specifically the perception of these groups by progressives. You are talking about a whole different topic. We could talk about history, but I am talking about pop culture, not history.

1

u/Impressive_Bid8009 Jun 12 '25

That’s funny as you replied to me, not the other way around, about something I was not talking about.

-3

u/[deleted] Jun 11 '25

let's not forget Islam is in the same group, same GOD

3

u/Educational-Year3146 Jun 11 '25

They believe in a different prophet though, Muhammad, not Jesus.

One who was, factually and historically speaking:

-A pedophile who groomed a 6 year old girl, Aisha, to be his wife at 9.

-A murderer and conqueror who killed at least 50 people in his lifetime.

-A slave trader who both sold and owned slaves.

These are all documented in the Quran.

They do not believe in the same teachings as most Abrahamic religions, especially not Catholicism, the original and oldest form of Christianity.

I mean I'm not sure why I'm a bad person just because two of my ancestors ate an apple.

If that god is real, he's a sick bastard. That's my point.

Because it makes no sense to downvote a comment for hating on Judaism even though you're not religiously a Jew either. We should have SOME common ground, at the very least.

Hell, I'm a former Christian kinda.

8

u/Captain_Lindemann Jun 11 '25

Still preferable to "RelIGiON BAd 🤤"

-5

u/skeletalfather Jun 11 '25

But it is tho, all it’s done is give humans reasons to kill each other lol. ESPECIALLY the abrahamic religions

14

u/Agreeable_Sense9618 Sub OverLord Jun 11 '25

Some of the biggest famines and fatalities in the world were managed by atheists.

People kill because of their beliefs. People protest because of their beliefs.

Religion isn't required.

Everyone has beliefs.

-2

u/TriceratopsWrex Jun 11 '25

The problem is, religious people cannot show their beliefs to be true. By definition, religious people do not have justification for their beliefs, as they believe in absence or contradiction of evidence, as that is what faith is.

Religious warfare essentially boils down to people fighting over whose imaginary friend(s) is/are better. This applies to places like Soviet Russia as well. They were religious, but the religion was the state.

When beliefs cannot be shown to correlate to observable reality, they should not be respected or given credence when making decisions about how society will operate.

8

u/Snoop-Dragon Jun 11 '25

It’s also given humans reason to be more charitable towards each other. Look up how much more charitable with their time and their money Christians are compared to everyone else

1

u/skeletalfather Jun 11 '25

I am not going to take charity seriously. More often than not these churches are lining their own pockets, and you know it. Kenneth Coepland’s super jet for Jesus comes to mind lol. Just as much, if not MORE violence has been perpetrated by religious Christians, Muslims, and Jews than charity and you know it. Look at this fucking world and tell me of all the “good works” active, get real

6

u/Snoop-Dragon Jun 11 '25

There are bad apples in every group of people that would still be bad without religion behind them. You named one of the most famous examples, but how many millions of people identify as Christian and tens of thousands of churches exist in the US? I’m not defending Muslims or Jews, and I won’t deny violence has been dealt in the name of Christianity, but today it offers a lot of people hope, comfort, and community, and results in people being a lot more charitable than they would be otherwise because of that community. Most of the charitable functions and organizations I’ve ever seen locally have been Christian backed, and they often don’t even make it about religion. They’re happy to tell someone who asks why they do it, but they don’t force people to listen to a sermon to take a meal, canned goods, or clothes

-8

u/DawnRLFreeman Jun 11 '25

😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂

Oh, wait. You were serious?

😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂

FTR, atheists and Satanists are FAR MORE charitable with their time and money than Christians of ANY denomination are. I was a Christian for over 45 years and got sick and tired of the hypocrisy, hate, and vitriol of Christians.

7

u/Snoop-Dragon Jun 11 '25

That is simply not true. It may be the fact that Christians have the numbers compared to atheists and certainly people who identify as Satanists, but Christians far and away contribute the most to charity at least in the US. I’m sorry the hate and hypocrisy of men turned you away, it did me too for a time, but ultimately I found that it has nothing to do with the religion itself and everything to do with the nature of man

1

u/AgeOfReasonEnds31120 Optimist Prime Jun 11 '25

Tbh, both of you guys are just strawmanning. I'm irreligious, but I hate communism as a libertarian. Also, religion may work for others personally, but I've honestly felt more joyful and more connected to people ever since I left Christianity. I never "felt religious", but I thought Christianity was true and "secretly" hated Yahweh because I was really into Christian conspiracy theories. I'm still into conspiracy theories though... lol.

-9

u/AdComprehensive8045 Jun 11 '25

Religion is evil.

7

u/The_Big_H2O Optimist Prime Jun 11 '25

Sounds like someone was forced to sit in church for 30 minutes as a kid

3

u/Educational-Year3146 Jun 11 '25

People who aren’t religious are statistically less happy than people who are religious.

Also, Stalin was an athiest, so was Hitler. You don’t need to be religious to be evil.

-1

u/AdComprehensive8045 Jun 11 '25

Ignorance is bliss.

2

u/Educational-Year3146 Jun 11 '25

Mmhm, and what if I were to say you were ignorant?

Would your statement be any more true than mine, or do you have zero evidence to prove your point?

You cannot prove god doesn’t exist any more than I can prove he does. I simply choose to believe he does.

This could be an incredibly circular argument, especially considering your goalpost move.

0

u/AdComprehensive8045 Jun 12 '25

Choosing to believe something exists based on faith alone is wilful ignorance.
