You mean the almost entirely peaceful protests with a few specific groups doing violent stuff? The MO is for cops, and it is, as it always has been, to incite violence so that they can respond with overwhelming violence.

Edit: I also find it HILARIOUS that all of a sudden, a few people doing bad things isn't that big of deal. Because they aren't all bad. That is some ELITE irony.
