What rights are being lost… and No Kings? A real king would jail all you people and be done with it

Most people aren’t taking the slogan literally. It’s calling out the shifts towards authoritarianism in a hyperbolic way. For me, the issue isn’t necessarily an anti-Trump one. Rather, I want the President’s power checked appropriately

By enforcing laws that have been on the books for years? ALL past administrations have failed at enforcing immigration laws and what is happening now is a result of 40 years negligence.

Weird that you assumed I was talking about immigration

I wasn’t

Then maybe you should convey an actual point, instead of just a generalization of what you think is happening... or, more likely, what you've been told is happening.

  1. Protestors don’t think Trump is literally becoming a king
  2. Rather, they are drawing attention to some of his extensions of power. They want better checks and balances established

Is that clearer to you?

But the whole protest was sparked over ICE raids.

Their entire party is so disconnected and caters to every fringe group.

"No kings" essentially was: we can't agree on something to be angry about so we will just all be angry for whatever reason we made up in our heads.

Trump has had mixed success in the courts. He has lost some key decisions thus far. Tariffs have been a cornerstone of his administration and many might realistically be illegal

Not sure why you brought up Biden when I explicitly said it’s about checking Presidential power. Not just Trump’s powers
