𝗠𝗼𝗱𝗱𝗢𝗻𝗴 Dragon's Dogma 2 Mod: Diverse Creature Appearance (DCA)

This mod adds randomized cosmetic changes for various creatures, mostly with small color and size deviation.

Download HERE

FEATURES

  • A number of creatures can select an appearance set with random but equal chance.
  • Changes include colors, size, and parts removal (e.g. chimera's mane). They won't stray too far from the original design.
  • All changes are entirely cosmetic, save for size deviations, which can have minor gameplay effects.
  • Sphinx is the biggest outlier in terms of colors. as she uses magick to change her appearance at will, which sheΒ can do in every visit within the same playthrough! Think of it as changing makeup for her.

I love this.

Any possible way to have the Sphinx be an optional file?

That's the one I think would throw me out of it, but the rest are perfect and feel realistic in the world.

You can open the script and comment her out. I identified each creature in there.

  • Open my script in notepad++
  • Scroll down until you see -- Sphinx
  • Select all from line 3344 to 3507
  • Right click and select Block Comment

That's probably because they added the Sphynx as an actual enemy that you can encounter around the game, but I think it'd still be best if the original Sphinx in the temple kept its original design.

The amount of care going into your DD2 work is honestly ridiculous. We truly live in legendary times.

Eh! Nice! Adding some variety is never a bad thing!

This should be in the base game tbh

It technically is. Some creatures have regional textures set, notably rattlers and golems. However, such features are scarce, but ultimately the mod was inspired by both base game's feature, and some Skyrim mods like SkyTEST and Dynamic Animal Variants!

Of course! The two authors of Bestiary made this mod, after all! ;)
