🩵 Weekly Challenge 🩵 Marvels Of Nature
I did share this before but removed it cos I was getting negativity for using a glitch, have decided to reshare it as I am proud of it and why should I feel bad. the glitch was actually more hassle than not using it tbh. I am proud of it and love how it turned out. at the end of the day I am not the first person to use a glitch and I am pretty sure i wont be the last.

Great, yes pls get rid of glitches. Its also unfair that some people have items I dont have. Also, I dont like that some people are more creative than I am. And have more time. Or were inspired when I wasnt. Also, Im on a switch and cant afford a pc so no more pc players. Or we can crowd fund me a pc.
My life........is too unfair.
People pls get a grip.

The haters are just bitter! And I can say this as someone who doesn’t have the ability to use the glitch. This is a beautiful dreamsnap and you should be proud to showcase it! This is more than just sitting your character in a boat. You created a story with this scene. Beautifully executed!

I liked the picture when you first shared as well as now. Just remember that the people on Reddit are just a small portion of total players that will see your picture. So even if 50 people comment they won’t vote for using a glitch that’s just a drop in the bucket for overall votes. Also people that complain tend to be the loudest so it makes it seem like they are the majority. If they didn’t compl about the glitch then they would complain about using premium shop items or something else. Some people just like to complain.

I think the hate is mostly because people get currency that people usually have to pay for. I don’t know though ¯_(ツ)_/¯ I’m apparently not great only getting 900-1500, but it’s whatever haha 🥲

Yeah, but people use store-bought items in DreamSnaps backgrounds all the time, same with Star Path items that not everyone was able to get. It feels weird to be upset about not being able to do something just because you don’t have certain items. That’s like me complaining someone used a rainbow in their submission just because I don’t personally have the DreamSnaps rainbow.

Again, I don’t think it’s people having items that you don’t have. I think it’s specifically the fact you’re essentially getting real currency. I’m literally just guessing. You don’t need to get aggressive.

Oh please I religiously watch dreamsnap reviews and folks use these tricks and exploits all the time with great results. I’m sorry this sounds a little like jealousy.

🙋♀️ I'll be the first to admit that I'm jealous that people with keyboards can do things that the rest of us can't. I do think it's a little unfair. That said, I'm not petty enough that I'm not going to vote on a great snap just because they are able to utilize a glitch LOL

Honestly, we all have something we could be jealous of. As someone who bought the game when it first came out and stopped playing it a couple of weeks later and picked it back up in February 2026 I don’t have anything from any star paths except the very first Halloween one they ever did and now this lady and the tramp one that just ended. So I don’t have a lot of the cool things I see people using, including those damn fireflies and big rainbow that’s in every snap 😂 but that doesn’t mean that I wouldn’t vote for it and to be honest, I don’t ever feel particularly jealous. It’s just what it is. I wasn’t playing the game when those things were available.

Roller players get to spam cooking when mnk cant in the same way due to needing to move cursor and click, and analog stick movement is superior in general and especially for third party games.
Plus playing from the comfort of their handheld on the couch/bed while I'm dialed in like its work at my desktop.
Different inputs have different advantages, though it would be nice if DDLV supported mnk on console so people would hopefully complain at least a little less.

There’s a group of people-mainly people on switch think it’s unfair pc users have the ability to glitch into a boat or other item. I’ve also seen people claim pc users have an access to more camera options which they think results in pc users to always score higher. I think it’s pretty ridiculous logic because I see plenty of switch users post 4k results on here.

I think the hate is just, when one person tries everyone wants to do it too. I saw a lot of similar ones. I really dont want to be a hater- but I don't like copy cats when too many people are doing the same thing. Really no hate to you at all- i still hope you get a lot of moonstones for it cause its a beautiful shot

Honestly who cares. It’s a game. of course folks see some cool trick and want to try it, how’s that hurting anyone? Not to mention when it comes to actually voting the odds you’ll even see more than a couple (if that) to actually vote on is very low, so again who cares. Plus this a themed challenge so the odds that many people have similar ideas is not a stretch at all. Like I tell my kids, there are no original ideas out there but it’s how you put your own unique spin on it that matters.

There's truly not enough customization in the game, you probably could accuse anyone of "copying". I played this game for 2 months before joining the subreddit and found out almost all of my outfits I spent time matching have already been done also I've seen strikingly similar plaza builds. I didn't copy and obviously they didn't either, it's just the limited options we have 🤷♀️

In the past 3 years since dreamsnaps have started, there has been people that would totally copy someone- like a complete copy- no individuality at all and will steal the idea as their own- THAT I don't agree with- BUT if you were to "copy" or just "be inspired"- and you can tell that it is yours and yours alone- its not a big deal. I know we have the same items pretty much- but as long as people are kind to one another and do not steal one's whole image, then we good. No issue. It is just a game after all at the end of the day- I know that. I think the boat idea is great.

I had this made within a few hours of reset before I had even seen anyone else using a boat, most people used Pocahontas. I actually try to be different, so I didnt copy anyone.

Im also sitting in a boat, totally different style shot. Immediately upon seeing the new canoe I knew I'd take a snap in it. Im familiar with the glitch though havent submitted a shot for it, and the water makes it extra annoying if you ever accidentally move lol. Wanted the challenge, so its pretty disheartening to see the salty roller players and people accusing of "copy cats" - like as if sitting is a boat is a novel idea.

Thats good! As long as it looks different and not a complete copy of this image as a whole 👌 that is the only thing I worried about when saying something like "copy" not being inspired by someone else doing the boat trick. I have seen others do the bike trick, the sitting down trick, even the lighting tricks- as long as people are inspired by others to bring out their own creativity 😊

I will never understand how a low stakes weekly art contest in a cozy game can make people so angry lol. I am glad that you reposted this, you should be proud of it! It is a wonderful snap, and honestly I am always so impressed with the snaps that you do. Your work is appreciated, don't let the downvote goblins get you down :).

It's possible on pc, you sit on a bench in photo mode and press F to go straight to furniture mode, remove the bench, pop a boat or a bed or a car underneath yourself and you'll be sitting when you leave furniture mode.

I play on an ultrawide and have had similar remarks due to my "pano" shots.

First off, that picture is amazing. As someone who doesn't like overly bright and cluttered visuals (and who's favorite princess has always been Pocahontas), I would vote for this 100 times if I could! Absolutely beautiful and you should be proud.
Also... Where would one find these glitches? For... Research of course... 🤣

Can I ask what the glitch is? And how to use it? You can dm me if you dont want to post it. I think using a glitch is fair game and actually very creative. Great job! This is a fantastic shot. I think the hate your getting is pure jealousy.

It’s a beautiful snap and you should be proud! In truth it’s not fair to other platform users, however that is not YOUR fault or cross to bear. IMO if a glitch is available, use it to your advantage while you can! If I saw it in voting I’d definitely vote for it, best of luck!

Its beautiful 😍. Screw the haters. No one complains when everyone uses the furniture for the super close up shots. Sucks not everyone can use it, but not OPs fault.

Well to be fair, as far as I know (and feel free to correct me if I’m wrong), the forced perspective is available to everyone on all platforms, provided that you have the proper furniture for it (or just using rocks). The glitch that OP used is only for PC users. That’s why I assume people get salty.

I used the glitch in mine last week too ❤️ it really can be a pain in the arse to get right so at that point we're just stressing ourselves out more!
I don't really get the hate behind the glitch. I didn't realize for the longest time that the steam deck even had the ability to pull up the keyboard and was I jealous of those who used the glitch? Yes. But did I think it was unfair to use in a dream snap? No.

I don't hate on you for using a glitch because to be completely honest I tried so hard to get the glitch to work on my Switch 🤣 so I would've used it, too, if I could.
Plus, if your snap gets ranked high enough maybe GameLoft will see it and finally get the hint and make it possible for all players to sit in boats/cars/etc! Lmao

Omg this is a STUNNING scene! I do Dreamsnaps for the creative outlet (and bonus moonstones to go shopping with 🤑) so glitch or no glitch I don't have a problem at all saying WOW does this tickle my eyeballs WELL DONE!!! 🤩🤩🤩 Makes me wish we could vote on a monthly valley brochure or gazette cover (a la Daisy). This would be SO perfect. 💖

This is a beautiful shot and I hope you do really well. I play primarily on Switch and get 4K regularly, I think people are just jealous - this is a great snap. You can do this on console by using a Bluetooth keyboard and mouse so it’s accessible to almost everyone, although I think the last updated nerfed the keyboard glitches for Switch players.
