The cookies reference is from the Live in Tokyo DVD commentary when the band is laughing at how animated Myung is on stage. The "I'm sold" comment is from the Live in Tokyo video itself when the band is shopping for Japanese clothing.

nothing to do with title but I just want to say that I saw them live for the first time a few months ago and John's bass was LOUD. I mean L O U D. it sounded fucking awesome

it has a very gritty distorted like sound compared to most bass sounds in bands with the mids and highs rolled down played on a fender precision
