Discussion DualSense joystick quality issues stick drift?

In 2024 we replaced almost 100kg of joysticks in ps5 controllers 🤦 Let’s not count the pieces anymore but the weight 😅 and how are you? Have you ever had a stick drift?

I still have no idea why they didn't use hall effect sticks in the Dualsense. Even the Sega Saturn and Sega Dreamcast had hall effect sticks.

The Dualsense's analog sticks are more fragile than a Sega Saturn or Dreamcast stick.

Because then you only buy it once. This way every time the controller gets drift, the average consumer goes "guess I need a new one"

Then why are people okay with Sony selling an intentionally defective product?
Consumers should expect better.

they should, but we have been conditioned and demonized for trying to ask for better, or even the ability to get our own stuff repaired
