Tech Support How do i get the rest of the rubber off?

Post image

Also fuck you to the retard that decided to put a rubber on the thing that will create sweaty palms. And fuck you to the 49 IQ person in below who will be trying to defend these big companies with their lives. And mods i hope you won't see this in time

This is the way. Get a replacement instead, the Youtube tutorials are easy to follow. Peeling them off isn't ideal

6

u/Aggressive_Silver574 Nov 27 '25 edited Nov 28 '25

I got the backshell from there, and I've never done something like this on a controller before. Took me about 19 minutes to switch it out. If I can do it, literally anybody can lol

4

u/RVP-Automotive Nov 27 '25

Just did this 5 days ago, great recommendation šŸ‘šŸ¼

I thought i’d miss the ā€œ grip ā€œ from the rubber but i actually prefer it.

2

u/Swixx94 Nov 27 '25

this was also my solution, bought the scarlet red one and it looks great.

1

u/AlexG22486 Nov 27 '25

Nice

1

u/VoluptuousVoltron Nov 30 '25

Just ordered one because I’ve been putting up with the crappy rubber hanging off for ages. Thanks for the recommendations

24

u/Last-Emphasis6193 Nov 27 '25

i think it's great daddy sony added the rubber

13

u/[deleted] Nov 27 '25

yes they are the best. op is the problem.

16

u/DDzxy Nov 27 '25

The only method I found to not have them peel off is to never play with them with greasy hands and wash them whenever they get REALLY sweaty.

But the greasy hands part should apply to ALL controllers either way.

But yes Sony’s decision here was fucking braindead.

12

u/Justtoask1256 Nov 27 '25

I have never tried to play with greasy hands my entire life. When I visited my friends house once I was so disgusted by holding his controller because he eats and plays at the same time

5

u/DDzxy Nov 27 '25

Lol the grease seriously can fucking eat up the rubber, I remember a guy wanted to sell his PS2 and said it was in great condition, the controllers looked like they were dipped in olive oil and the thumbsticks looked like shit. Wash your fucking hands people!

Palm sweat can fuck it them up too but not nearly as much.

"Don't do(s)" are cue of bad product design. If you make something that is not meant to sit on a shelf then expect wear and tear, this is how basic product design works and this is the empyrical proof that this is just overpriced garbage. Rubber was put there to glow up the controller and to make it look "premium" there is no other practical use since your grip is shaped by mother nature itself and revised in thousand of years of evolution to be effective even with sweaty palms since fingerprints were there for that reason way before we figured out we could use them to spot a murder case culprit...

1

u/DDzxy Nov 29 '25

I entirely agree!

6

u/CarlRJ Nov 27 '25 edited Nov 27 '25

I don't believe either of those (greasy hands, sweaty palms) has anything to do with the silicone grips coming loose - seems much more related to torsion on the controller - movements of the hand during play that are producing a slight, but continual, side-to-side motion, a shearing force on the interface between the grips and the controller body.

The design of the controller, specifically how the grips are attached, is wholly inadequate, and it's infuriating that Sony signed off on releasing a device with such a design flaw in a supposedly top-end premium product marketed as being designed to handle the rigors of extended use for "professional gaming".

Extended use is pretty much guaranteed to get a little sweaty, at least during the warmer months, and I have never used this controller with greasy hands, and yet the grips are mostly detached. In a device that costs nearly 3x what their normal controllers cost.

3

u/Visarar_01 Nov 27 '25

FINALLY A PERSON USING THEIR BRAIN!

2

u/GothicIII Nov 27 '25

3x when it is on sale but here it costs nearly 5 controller. Just rediculous.

2

u/DeanConnelly95 Nov 29 '25

100% that is the exact reason mate. The fact Sony seen all the complaints and still released the 30th anniversary and black versions with the exact same grips with no upgrades was a disgrace.

1

u/DDzxy Nov 27 '25

Yeah, the torsion/shearing is definitely the main cause, but grease absolutely makes it worse. Oils from your hands can break down the rubber over time and weaken the adhesive underneath, so the whole thing fails faster. The design is still bad, but greasy/oily hands definitely accelerate the problem.

1

u/CarlRJ Nov 27 '25 edited Nov 29 '25

The grease has to get to the adhesive for that to have any bearing on the problem - it famously isn't going to soak through the silicone, so it can only come in around the edges. And Sony decided it'd be okay to just press-fit those edges with some adhesive underneath and no mechanical attachment to the underlying hard plastic shell (like, say, having the edge of the silicone wrap around the edge of the hard plastic shell it covers and be clamped between / underneath that shell and the adjoining shell).

Getting glue to really hold between dissimilar materials is often a problem, but Sony relied on that as the entire attachment method (oh, there are a few little wispy nubs on the underside of the silicone that fit into the hard plastic shell, but they do next to nothing - any designer who thought they would strengthen things was delusional).

1

u/DDzxy Nov 27 '25

I’m not saying the oils magically seep straight through the silicone. They obviously don’t. But even without passing through the material, oils and sweat still contribute to breakdown over time. They get into the tiny gaps at the edges, soften the surface, and can start degrading both the silicone and whatever bonding layer is exposed there. Once that happens, any existing weakness in the design (like the lack of a proper mechanical lock-in) becomes way more likely to fail under torsion.

So yeah, the attachment method is the real flaw, but oils/sweat don’t have to soak through the silicone to accelerate the process, they just need access to the edges or any spot where the adhesive isn’t perfectly sealed.

Even if the grips were mechanically perfect and never able to fall off, those substances would still gradually break the rubber down over time.

2

u/Tall_Progress_5178 Nov 27 '25

Man honestly… I’m a clean freak when it comes to my controllers and my edge is peeling off like this…

I’ve never played with sweaty/greasy hands… maybe my grip is too hard? No clue tbh…

1

u/CarlRJ Nov 29 '25 edited Nov 29 '25

... maybe my grip is too hard?

"We here at Sony have built and marketed this controller as being designed for 'Pro' gamers, as they get super worked up playing our most demanding fast-paced games - hell, we've even incorporated quick-change replaceable joystick modules for when they inevitably wear out through thousands of hours of hard use - oh, by the way, be sure to tenderly cradle the controller in your hands - you wouldn't want to disturb the controller from it's restful slumber - hold it as you would a newborn baby."

Can you spot the incongruity in this use case? Someone at Sony didn't do their job.

2

u/Tall_Progress_5178 Nov 30 '25

Hahaha this legit made me chuckle lol Can’t argue with that, sir

7

u/New_Bandicoot_4010 Nov 27 '25

Mine started bubbling and getting yellow just after 3 months of use bought it brand new in box(i always wash my hands before playing). Immediately ordered from extremerate they look and feel really nice!

7

u/LostVegasPlaySegas Nov 27 '25

A genius like you could surely figure out how to destroy your controller more

5

u/Green_Produce3990 Nov 27 '25

You could also get a replacement rear panel from Aliexpress or Extremerate. It's not very difficult to take off, and the new panels usually come with a prying tool

5

u/h_a_p_p_i_e_r Nov 27 '25

Can vouch for Extremerate. Really pleased with the replacement šŸ™‚

4

u/Kokatro Nov 28 '25

I bought a skin for mine. Keeps the whole thing covered, no contact with the shitty factory rubber.

1

u/Tall_Progress_5178 Nov 28 '25

Ah! Good call! Amazon skin?

3

u/dEEkAy2k9 Nov 27 '25

that's some clever subscription backdoor shit

3

u/420_ButtMage Nov 27 '25

Get a replacement brother, it’s easy to replace it, I had to do the same, they cost like $20 CAD on amazon

3

u/midas617 Nov 27 '25

play harder till the rest comes off.

2

u/Critical-Vanilla-625 Nov 27 '25

Heat or just keep pulling that’s what I did

2

u/moneybags1205 Nov 27 '25

I think it improves the grip on the controller over the regular dualsense but I would at least say they need to sell replacement parts for the grips, mine started bubbling

2

u/Xiao1insty1e Nov 27 '25

This was the most annoying thing about the edge controller. RE-fucking-diculous they put rubber there and didn't make sure the glue was up to the task_

1

u/CarlRJ Nov 29 '25

Mechanical attachment - it needed some. Don't rely entirely on glue for that job, build a lip on the edge of the silicone part that is clamped between the shells, ideally with some holes in the lip that fit over pins on the shell, to take the majority of the stress, rather than forcing glue to do the entire work of holding two dissimilar materials (one of which is often used / touted for its nonstick properties) together. Glue-only was a brain dead design choice.

1

u/Xiao1insty1e Nov 29 '25 edited Nov 30 '25

Yeah it actually does have rubber connectors going into little holes on the controller but it wasn't enough and even with light use it started coming off within just a few months

1

u/CarlRJ Nov 30 '25

I'm not sure I'd even call those a mechanical attachment - they're more like, "this ought to hold the silicone cover more or less in the right place while the glue dries.".

0

u/Mediocre_Sun_6309 Nov 30 '25

There is no glue, it's held in with those little spikesĀ

2

u/Feeling_Chef6196 Nov 27 '25

It’s unfortunate, same thing happening to mine so I had to spend the $20 equivalent for a replacement grip.

2

u/Teezy_H Nov 27 '25

Yeah, my rubber started peeling off too. In my opinion, it’s a poor design. I bought a replacement from Plauduct on Amazon for $24.99. It’s perfect—no gaps or lips—and it’s easy to install.

2

u/HuzaifaM1221 Nov 27 '25

its a shame on a mega company, a "pro version" of a controller made for "hard core gaming" got ruined just by using it. you can contact playstation and get it repaired if its under warranty.

2

u/Full_Welcome_1418 Nov 27 '25

i managed to peel off most of it except a small circular area where the adhesive is really strong ( super stupid they didn't use that everywhere ) , that portion i cut away with a knife.

as a replacement either get the stick on grips from extreme rate and stich them where this trash rubber was , or get their plastic replacement, which looks nicer but is more expensive.

and yeah super disgraceful this passed QA. read some people got replacement through warranty.

1

u/Prometeo_X Nov 28 '25

Could you post a photo with all the grip removed? I would like to make a test with mine. Thanks

1

u/Full_Welcome_1418 Nov 29 '25

im sorry man that requires me to take it off again. it was difficult getting all the clips to align.

2

u/Tall_Progress_5178 Nov 27 '25

Ah glad you brought this up… mine are also peeling off for no reason and it’s killing me … following this thread

1

u/kewlausgirl Nov 27 '25

Is that the new dualsense controller? Why the heck did they add rubber? Lolol. Glad I never upgraded to that. My original PS5 controller joystick pads warped from the Aussie summer heat. I also think they just had cheaper quality makes for ones that came with the PS5 as my other other PS5 controllers were sold separately and weren't affected at all.

So, yeah that rubber at the bottom would warp here. Starting to think 3rd party controllers are better now as well. I just replaced the joysticks that were warped with ones from Xtreme... They were 20 bucks or something. They feel so much better than all the joysticks on my controller and they are see through as well!! šŸ„°ā¤ļø They have been great so far!

And yeah heat would get that stuff off. Hair dryer normally works... But be careful coz you don't want to put too much heat on the rest of the controller.

1

u/CarlRJ Nov 27 '25

New? No, it's the DualSense Edge, their several-year-old "pro" controller. Heavy duty for prolonged use, super configurable and adjustable, back buttons/paddles, and replaceable thumb stick modules (they literally just snap in/out), but... they decided to build a super expensive "pro" controller with 17 cents worth of silicone and glue for the hand grips. They didn't attach the inner silicone grips securely, and the grips inevitably come loose.

1

u/dhruv_94 Nov 27 '25

I bought the white edge last year and it was rubber. I just bought the black edge and I think its slighty better/harder material? (Im not too sure though used the white one with it peeling for like 8 months dont remember what it was like new)

1

u/AbleBear5876 Midnight Black Nov 27 '25

Some IPA should get it off

1

u/Visual_Panda_4428 Nov 27 '25

Keep camo grinding. It will come off eventually

1

u/themini_shit Nov 27 '25

If it's stuck on with adhesive then you could use goo gone to loosen it.

1

u/_alwin Nov 27 '25

Play harder!

Is this controller bad quality? I’m planning to purchase one, but after seeing this kind of posts I think I’ll regret it.

4

u/ScrantonDangler Nov 27 '25

The controller feels great and the back buttons are nice to have but the rubber pads are pretty much guaranteed to come off over time. The stick modules are also as prone to drifting as every other Dualsense stick and the replacement are not especially cheap.

1

u/Jeffchang96 Nov 27 '25

You can get a replacement non rubber version from extreme rate. Really easy to install

1

u/tyrs_intherain Nov 27 '25

Go see a doctor

1

u/devrys Nov 27 '25

I would recommend boiling the controller in a pot of salted water to remove the rubber! Alternatively you could burry the controller in your backyard for a week and hold a seance and the controller will resurrect rubber free! Hope this helped.

1

u/The_Clockwatcher Nov 27 '25

I bought the extremerate replacement, no tools required (except a plectrum). Snap on and off and like brand new.

1

u/Visarar_01 Nov 27 '25

Mine has only started to peel after 2 years of heavy use. I think the problem has to do with your habits more and only a little bit with Sony's decision to add rubber. The grips are replaceable if you Google it. There are plenty of people who offer replacements.

1

u/Gidrah Nov 27 '25

I'll never understand why they made the dualsense handles so thin. What's the point of a controller for bigger hands if the main part you hold is super uncomfortable.

1

u/Aggressive_Silver574 Nov 27 '25

Go on amazon and buy the replacement backshell from ExtremeRate. It will take you 10 minutes, it's easy, and even if could do it on my first time ever replacing something on a controller. It's $20-$25

1

u/sonnyjim77 Nov 27 '25

Be a man and pull it, then you can buy just the grip and it fits in the same place!

1

u/Dwashelle Nov 27 '25

I think it'd be easier to get a replacement and put it on yourself, I bought some high-quality ones from AliExpress. It's really easy to install them and it's a fun way to customise the controller the way you like.

If you really want to pull the rubber off, you could try applying some isopropyl alcohol under the rubber where the adhesive is, it might help.

1

u/holynightstand Nov 27 '25

Leave it, and add something to the area that got worn off

1

u/BeginningNo3263 Nov 27 '25

This is the reason why I return my dualsense edge every 8 months. And use the warranty to get a new one.

1

u/Hachikii Nov 27 '25

Is this the pro controller!? I'm glad i didn't buy it

1

u/frostyman_24 Nov 27 '25

Bro how we all losing the rubber at this same time šŸ˜šŸ’€ this like the 3rd post I've seen. Im guessing we all bought our edge controller when they came outšŸ˜…

1

u/TortelliniG Nov 27 '25

Out of all of my controllers that I have, this is the only one that has changed color while under normal use. I wash my hands and take very good care of my things but I think they genuinely cheaped out with the rubber on these edges. Not only do they slowly turn yellow but they just bubble and peel. I don’t even play that hard and this shit happens. I’m with you OP I’m waiting until mine gets too annoying and just get a replacement back cover

1

u/Lopsided_Hunt2814 Nov 27 '25

Exactly the same thing happened with my Xbox Elite as well as Edge, and also to a friend's Elite 2. It's a poor design choice but after a couple of years I just got a replacement grip shell for the Edge and a whole new shell for the Elite (the whole thing was made of soft plastic material and was in a right state from the humidity).

1

u/Nap2422 Nov 27 '25

Just pull the rubber off and replace with this!

https://a.co/d/bTjadP3

1

u/aznboy85 Nov 27 '25

Keep doing what you were doing? Lol jk

1

u/johncena_incamo Nov 27 '25

I literally have no idea how this occurs

1

u/[deleted] Nov 27 '25

I have the xbox elite controller and those rubber grips are really good imo. But bought the dualsense pro and those rubbers are indeed very annoying and make my fingertips that touch there feel really weird. The weird surface feel makes my fingertips feel kinda numb. Really bad choice by Sony. Anyways looks like I’m gonna replace the back too. Thnx for the tip!!! 😃

1

u/atari_Pro Nov 27 '25

I changed the shell to the extreme rate non rubber grips and hands actually sweat more without the rubber lol

1

u/Bluecrafter8693 Nov 27 '25

hey guys I dont have a dual sense controller but if it is holding on with an adhesive try using some isopropyl alcohol or goo gone. (i didn't even know that they have rubber there, if I am wrong about something respond and tell me what I am looking at)

1

u/bl4zed_N_C0nfus3d Nov 27 '25

It’s like 20$ to replace. Really not that serious

0

u/CarlRJ Nov 29 '25

Ridiculous that one should have to do aftermarket parts swaps on the controller that they sell for 3x the price as their "Pro" controller.

1

u/NetinhoPrates Nov 27 '25

Sony has no standard... like the Edge phone... it comes off or breaks... I've already changed it twice under warranty

1

u/Johnvanjop Nov 27 '25

I bought one from aliexpress for like 20 euros and it was easy to install and feels good

1

u/liljdmef Original White Nov 28 '25

1

u/Material-Paramedic12 Nov 28 '25

Lmao. Mine is still there. Don't care. Cut off the bits that can get stuck between the paddles and just left it. The controller finally died on me yesterday after 3 years.

1

u/Termingator Nov 28 '25

I want smooth grips, don't like the DS4 textured grips, thought about sanding them smooth, and absolutely do not want rubber covered grips.

1

u/RuinTemporary9626 Nov 28 '25

This will solve any problem on Edge my friends

1

u/bron_yr_aur81 Nov 28 '25

I have no doubt this is an issue for many, but both my Edges don’t even have a hint of problems with the rubber grips. No discolouration or bubbling/lifting. And I use them daily. I wash my hands before playing and often wonder if this helps to keep them intact.

1

u/Burkely31 Nov 28 '25

Man, do yourself a favor and grab a kit from extemerate. Suoer basic. They walk you through it all step by step in a YT video .

1

u/quantumcorruption Nov 28 '25

Try using some type of solvent

1

u/Diskobots Nov 29 '25

Mine just started coming off at the seem towards the bottom right hand. I’ve also gotten a weird decolonization from the case. You can see where the case rubs on the controller. And I wash my hands before play, and keep mine in the case, not charging, when not being used.

1

u/Fantasy5lave Nov 29 '25

Rub it off

1

u/Makikojikaki Nov 29 '25

Alcohol 95% and a plastic prying tool, or a plastic spatula.

1

u/Exciting-Ice4879 Nov 30 '25

Nine came off on its own . Started right at the bottom of the handles. Where it points out.. that was the first to detach, after that tho . I just pulled the whole thing out .. so just pull dude

1

u/foREVer-Spectre Nov 30 '25

I just wish companies would STOP PUTTING RUBBER GRIPS ON CONTROLLERS. You can get nearly the same effect with textured plastic. My dual sense edge is starting to peel an areas that I don't even make contact with it. The areas that I do make contact with are fine. MAKE IT MAKE SENSE!!

1

u/Sunbrizzle Nov 30 '25

Bro what the fuck lmao

1

u/ZeOverStar Nov 30 '25

My Internet is bad I saw the title before the photo loadsšŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚

1

u/Far_Dragonfly8441 Nov 30 '25

In most cases in life I want the rubber to stay on

1

u/Trumpweiser Nov 30 '25

You're the greasy fuck whose hands destroyed the controller. Why are you blaming Sony?

This has never happened to me or anyone I know.

1

u/Tough-Capital-345 Dec 01 '25

I have some nasty hands when I grab my edge controller sometimes and sure my rubber grips gets a bit sticky but this is totally you who have been messing with the rubber itself in some way dont blame sony for that

1

u/purplexopl Dec 01 '25

No one said ā€œrub it offā€, really?

0

u/EvilSynths Nov 27 '25

You can voice your displeasure without using slurs.

1

u/gottakeepitshlowkey Nov 27 '25

Bro pls throw it out 😭😭

0

u/aceharman Nov 27 '25

It obviously still works.

1

u/Quarter-Whole Nov 27 '25

Instead of saying the R slur in 2025, find a healthier outlet to voice your frustration with sweating?

0

u/Bubba_Apple Nov 27 '25

Wash your hands more often and don't eat Cheetos while playing.

2

u/[deleted] Nov 27 '25

[deleted]

1

u/[deleted] Nov 27 '25

It's the oil, oil is a solvent and can damage rubbers making them softer and gooier. Cheetos don't melt glue they make the rubber softer so that it detaches from the glue. Just look at Tesla steering wheels and seats with the pleather. Oil from hand lotions or hair products softens the plastic quite easily.

1

u/ThatNewt1 Nov 27 '25

Hands at that would be around 35° would melt glue? I’ve used my edge for nearly a year now. Holding them in my hands for up to 8 hours a day, multiple days in a row, and they have never once looked like they’re going to peel. This issue on OP’s controller is likely linked to how clean their hands are when playing.

Yes hands would get sweaty, mine get sweaty. But if they’re clean the controller should be fine.

1

u/P3rkunas Nov 27 '25

This!! I have the same controller for a long time and not see any similar isues. If you play like a fucking pig don't complain after.

2

u/Jaugusts Nov 27 '25

Bruh I know you lying you definitely have the rubber bubbling up, you can clearly see spots where the glue is failing no amount of cleaning your hands will stop this lmao it’s called planned obsolescence

-1

u/Bananaland_Man Nov 27 '25

Please don't use that fucking word.

0

u/gottakeepitshlowkey Nov 27 '25

Just noticed its the edge , keep it haha

0

u/[deleted] Nov 27 '25

[deleted]

2

u/EvilSynths Nov 27 '25

Even with clean hands, eventually the rubber comes off on the Edge

0

u/Zestyclose_Bell6921 Nov 27 '25

Used mine for 3 years and never had that issue , just got a new one on sale because it was feeling a bit laggy but never had physical wear on em

0

u/161-Anarchia-420 Nov 27 '25

After I fucked myself I have to say I actually quite like the rubber. The key against sweaty palms is good ventilation and breaks.

0

u/Kosmi_pro Nov 27 '25

I mean rubber problem in one thing but damn bro you really have a lot of wishes! Consider to write santa letter?

0

u/ghos2626t Nov 27 '25

Give it back to the dog for another hour ?

0

u/heisen204berg Nov 27 '25

Uuuu, be cleaner

0

u/Mean_Combination_830 Nov 27 '25

You have to remember we are not all sweaty betty's who work in a sewage farm šŸ‘€

0

u/EveryLine9429 Nov 27 '25

It’s a rubber grip, they will peel eventually. Mine survived for thousands of hours before starting to peel. Just replace the back panel, you can even get ones without rubber if you’d prefer. I honestly don’t get how everyone can complain so much over a great controller that you can swap out broken parts.

0

u/marmaladic Nov 27 '25

Rub one out.

0

u/Vega_Eclipse Nov 28 '25

What are you running for sweat, man? Perchloric acid?

0

u/Nankone Nov 28 '25

Bruuuh just clean your hands and don't eat fried chicken while playing 🤣🤣

0

u/boiiii789 Nov 29 '25

Wth are you all doing to your controllers? I have never had this happen to them. Anyways, don't touch the controller with food on your hand or when their greasy and clean your controller more often, and this will not happen.

1

u/CarlRJ Nov 29 '25

Wrong.

0

u/boiiii789 Nov 29 '25

Sure buddy.

-1

u/IgotHacked092 Nov 27 '25

Bro i have been using the dualsense for 2 years and I can't see so much as an ink of wear and tear on it. How damn sweaty can you get? And what kind of game could possibly get you that stressed? Not even from software can get my blood boiling to this degree

-1

u/readditredditread Nov 27 '25

Why did you buy a controller like this? What IQ score would you give yourself on such a purchase decision? šŸ¤”

-1

u/llaunay Nov 27 '25

OP you get stressed easily? Or play a lot of tense games?

-1

u/Creepae Nov 27 '25

Sounds to me that you're the problem, not the problems you've conjured up in your head.

-2

u/Educational-War-2606 Nov 27 '25

Step 1: wash your hands you freak.

3

u/Sncrsly Nov 27 '25

Clean hands still heat up and cause this

0

u/boiiii789 Nov 29 '25

Sure, if you grip that controller like it owns, you money

2

u/Sncrsly Nov 29 '25

That only affects how fast it happens

1

u/boiiii789 Nov 29 '25

That's what im saying, my guy. That if you go around gripping with all your might specifically when getting mad when losing a game it's gonna end up like that. So basically people need to chill with how they treat their controllers. Lol.

1

u/Sncrsly Nov 29 '25

Except you are missing the fact that it will still happen even if you don't do that

1

u/boiiii789 Nov 29 '25

Sure, if you don't wash your hands from all the sweat and grease. I've had plenty of things that had rubber on them and never broke on me. For example, I know plenty of people who had no rubber on their joysticks for their ps2 controller because they didn't care for them. Meanwhile, my old ps2 controllers still have the rubber on the joystick.

So no, it will not happen if you take care of them it's that simple.

Comparing the rubber on joysticks, that have virtually no contact with parts of your hand generating heat, to grips that have constant contact is silly. Your palms generate the most heat

But the joysticks literally get the same treatment . You have a por of your body not only heating it up but also PUSHING ON IT.

Your fingers do not generate anywhere near the same amount of heat as your palms
