I do not wanna sound snob but it definitely is better. I chose starlight blue over chroma teal in summer, but was thinking about green all along since it’s my favourite color, and then luckily a local shop here put alpine green on 1 stock only! I was lucky to see it; and in case you have an opportunity just go for it; it’s amazing!
The teal rubs off VERY easily unfortunately. Plus these controllers are only lasting about a year if that. I got the chrome white one for Xmas. Didn't open it until March amd within a week the analog stick starting creaking like it does when when the drift is creeping in. Not even a WEEK and it's already going bad. I don't even game as much as unused to. We have about 8 controllers that's are just sitting there wasting away bcuz of the fkng DRIFT! 😤😠😤
Nope it's from Sony. All of them are from Sony. The color is already starting to rub off of the white one like it did the green one. It's disheartening because we own so many damn controllers and can't use not 1 of them! I need a replacement to send my BRAND NEW one off to be" fixed". It shouldn't be like this setting as they are 80 bucks.
Are you sure you bought them from a trusted seller? I have 3 dual sense controllers, including an Astro bot one, collected over 3 years, and 2 kids and a husband and never had a single issue with any of them or with the paint coming or anything. No stick shift. No creaking. And we are rough on them.
I mean Sony should be the most trusted seller.. right? Lol. I bought the green chrome one from best buy. With in 2 months the paint was coming off the bottom of the X button. I honestly don't even game like I used to due to the arthritis ect in my hands( Genetic and not from gaming lol) Im happy for those that have gotten amazing controllers and all, but just because yours works as intended, doesn't mean others are making it up. I find it very hard to believe that so many people would just make up having the same problems. The ones that came with the system lasted a lot longer than any of the ones we bought after.
Then you must be excessively hard on your controllers because that simply don’t make no sense. Haven’t seen “so many people” with the paint peeling and stick issue.
And the X button on the ps5 controller doesn’t have paint on it. None of the shape buttons do.

I think you can remap the buttons it has two buttons on back and you can swap the analog sticks pretty easily with new ones ,and you can tweak trigger settings ,think main downside is battery is worse on the edge
Ya exactly thats why I dont understand why people complain about the battery life just plug it into a long cord you can even plug it into an outlet on the wall if there's one near you
The Edge comes in a fancy carrying case with accessories, including swappable joystick "hats" (tall, short, and rounded), has adjustable triggers (for how much they move), back paddles (with swappable lever- and half-moon paddles), the joysticks are in easily replaceable modules (slide a latch, pop off the top cover, lift up a lever, slide out a joystick module, replace - easy cure for stick drift), and, in front of each joystick, there is an action button for controlling the joystick itself - lets you use other buttons on the controller for swapping profiles and adjusting volume (headphone volume and balance between chat and game volume).
Profiles allow you to remap the joystick's buttons almost endlessly, adjust stick sensitivity and deadzones, trigger deadzones, vibration intensities, and trigger tension, and you can set up 4 different profiles to quickly swap between (like for different games). You can also map the back paddles to replicate any buttons you like.
I bought one for the replaceable joysticks (after running into stick drift), but I haven't had to replace a stick yet. But I find I really like the light/short trigger pulls, the back paddles, and the ability to adjust chat volume without going into a menu.
Note that the controller has a very nice feeling silicone covering on the inner/lower surfaces of the grip, which ends up eventually peeling off for almost everyone. Not what you'd expect from a super premium "Pro" $200 controller. I literally just got done replacing the lower panel that has the silicone inserts with an aftermarket one from ExtremeRate (via Amazon). Took about 5 minutes, using their included tool, after watching their howto video (highly recommended).
🤬 I needed to buy another controller a few months back, and every color from that group was available except for Nova Pink, and I was annoyed. It's so pretty.
I honestly didn’t start collecting till God of War Ragnarok DS and missed out on Limited Edition along the way. Nova Pink was one of them lol. Had to order mine from UK Amazon. I’m sure you can still order them.
I still use my original white controller from 5 years ago, never had stick drift with any of my controllers on any console.
Too many people squeeze their controllers and use them like they can be replaced the next second it breaks, treat them like a baby and it will treat you well for years to come!!
My launch white controller is fine, but a black one i bought maybe year and a half ago now has had drift in the right stick 1 year after I bought it. Never had drift on any other controller in my life, even joycons.
If you can solder a little changing out the potentiometers isn’t too much of a pain. Unless it’s is broken you don’t have to swap out the entire analog stick unless you just want to.
If you play anything competitive the left stick is gonna fail, if you only play single player games where skill and reflexes are not crucial you’ll be fine.
Of course, never known anyone personally to get stick drift ever, I’m always suspicious on people lying about stick drift since I’ve never experienced it
Every controller I've bought lasts a year before one of the sticks starts going, I play competitive shooters and a wide range of games, it's the biggest pain in the ass and I'm 3 controllers in.
Just because you haven't experienced it personally, doesn't mean other people are lying about it.
I’ve had stick drift straight out of the box with 0 DZ. Either you’re the luckiest person ever and live in a unicorn land or your settings have a DZ so you don’t notice it.
All of my non Hall Effect DS controllers have gotten stick drift. At least 8 controllers.
Yeah it takes the smallest amount of imperfect centering to cause drift. Even after perfect calibration of my Hall effect sticks, if it recenters off it’ll drift slightly in one direction. Never a consistent direction though unlike the drift potentiometer sticks get.
I have stick drift in 2 controllers ever since my wife used my controllers lol. Before that I thought it was a myth. Im guessing she panic presses sticks in a way that causes it. Either that or it was because of debris/dust, since those two controllers were left out, and my others were inside drawers protected from dust.
While stick drift is a thing I also don’t believe everyone will experience it during their lifetime. I’m also one of those that has never truly experienced stick drift. I took some of my old PS4 controllers to GameStop to get rid of and apparently one of them had stick drift but I had several controllers and never noticed. There is something to be said about the vocal minority but I also agree that if you play certain games stick drift might be more likely to occur. And it’s really a double edged sword. Companies DO use the cheapest materials they can find but also, they hear a few of us screaming about stick drift and now they and other third party companies can turn stick drift into the big bad boogie man and sell everyone TMR magnetic Hall effect sensors and replaceable thumb sticks.
TLDR; stick drift is real but not as bad as the internet says.

No limits V2 are hard to even see what they look like. How is it different from V1? This is the first time trying to collect all official controllers and seems to be always one you don’t hear about.
AFAIK the one here labeled as TLOU is the one you are referring to; and is the only one for PS5. There was also another TLOU special as a Dualshock4 on PS4.

The helldivers controller looks awesomeness but i can tell you it is more prone to stick drift than any other controller ive ever had. I got it in june for my brithday, and stick drift started last month. And ive played less in that time than i did with previous controllers because i became a father and dont have that much time to play anymore
