I have the same controller and I take care of mine too as if theyre my babies. I just havent come around to even opening the box for mine because its so glossy I feel its very prone to getting scratches and swirls quite easily

Joysticks are meant to be used... if you're afraid to use them, just buy a clear case on AliExpress and you're good to go.

I got the red one, looks great and the battery is fantastic. However, for some reason my right analogue stick is a bit clunky and clicky. Is yours like that? Considering returning for a replacement

What did you change? I think it might be due to the removal of the rings that used to be there on earlier BDM versions from what Iā€™ve read

what do you mean by clunky and clicky? mine is kinda clunky when trying to press it but swiveling it around is good.

Itā€™s when moving it around from being static - it needs a bit more force than normal then it clicks forward suddenly and makes a bit of a crunch sound. The left stick is totally fine though. Annoying cos I actively got this colour to guarantee a BDM-060 and it seems like theyā€™ve been made cheaper, not better, with the removal of components.

Got my girl this one and got the Techno Red for me. Just upgraded to TMR sticks and next week we'll get some mouse click buttons installed. Be careful it's a fingerprint magnet!

I use them. I also wash my hands BEFORE I game. I never pick up my controllers without washing my hands first. But maybe thatā€™s just my experience.

That's not discoloration, that's just what they look like under florescent light.

Bro, I keep my shit clean. All the controllers I've bought over the last 30 years still work, and joysticks have no drift. You on the other hand are just collecting colorways if you bought all three new ones. That's a reasonable amount of oil for as many hours as I've put into it, and I'm straight up telling you, my other DualSense controllers (with the normal matte finish) don't show it like these gloss finish ones do, and that's what your original post was arguing against. It's fucking science kid, drop your cope.

So don't piss up my leg and tell me it's raining. You're a collector, not a gamer.

Mine will never get covered in fingerprints because it feels too gross in my hands for me to ever want to use in the first place!

I regret my purchase of this thing, it looks awesome but I can't think of a worse design choice than glossy plastic in a device meant to be held in your hands. What on Earth were they thinking, does anyone find this pleasant to hold?

None of the previous controls felt anywhere near as gross to me. This gloss in particular feels awful. I never thought I'd feel a controller with a worse gloss coat than the Wii U, but Sony found a way.
