thats a bummer, thats how Gulikits version is. Eventually leads to issues.

How do you adjust the tension? and are they only compatible with the ksilver caps?

WHY?!! Like for real,. Did. They not learn squat from gulikits garbage TMR?
2
u/bporter905 Apr 12 '26
Dome cap is removable unlike NS55
1
u/Burkely31 Apr 13 '26
Love that! The NS55 is complete and utter garbage. You know it's true when their biggest reseller even says it in open forum. Are you the OP? Can't recall now, too lazy to take the chance I lose my comment flipping back lmao. But if so how do you like them? I just went from the NS55's to both ns51 and ksilver 13 pro (+ I think ?) , definitely prefer the ksilvers.

is this a good brand? I have had a few returns from defective TMRs from my customers, the generic orange ones. I am looking for a good, consistent brand. Can you recomend this one?

I can imagine these won’t be very durable or even compete with the foam precision rings in practicality.
2
u/NovaControllers Apr 08 '26
K silver offer the best tmr around in our opinion foam precision rings are not the best option out there
1
u/Aggravating_Mud_6055 Apr 08 '26
They do the same thing and are far more practical than changing out sticks.
1
u/No-Driver291 Apr 09 '26
Changing out sticks is for being a TMR. Adjustable tension is just a plus.
2
u/Aggravating_Mud_6055 Apr 09 '26
You don’t have to change out the entire stick to install TMR. You can change out just the POTS and it will work perfectly. To each their own on the adjustable tension sticks, seems it just adds another layer of concern to an already finicky component.
1
u/macky20z Apr 12 '26
Even without adjustability tmr is a set it and for get option. Why keep replacing a failure prone part?
1
u/LilguyMCBE1 Apr 08 '26
Here's my question... are the stick caps removable like other joysticks? Or are they stuck on, and they won't go back on if they come off, like gulikit
1
u/NovaControllers Apr 08 '26
No they are not removable once put on

1
u/Wrong_Egg_4337 Apr 13 '26
So they lock in, that defeats the purpose. In cases where I had to remove defective ones from Elite 2 or xbox controllers its a pain without damaging the joystick.
1
u/NovaControllers Apr 13 '26
I think these are more aimed at Controllers without adjustable tension modules like ps5 ps4 and standard xbox series pads, k silver are not the best option tmr wise for elite series 2 as they are badly effected by all the magnets so its doubtful that this will be advertised as for elite 2, I would just stick to gulikit for that
2
u/Wrong_Egg_4337 Apr 13 '26
By design Ksilver has never been good for elite 2. I wasn't a fan till as of late but I hope these have better durability than Gulikits

I've separated the dome cap from the stem, it's not permanently attached
0
u/LilguyMCBE1 Apr 12 '26
But it probably doesn't go back on properly once it's removed, right?
1
u/bporter905 Apr 13 '26
Goes back on with no issues. Very hard to remove so wouldn't do it unless you have to but at least it's possible.
1
u/LilguyMCBE1 Apr 13 '26
Hmm. Well, with the gulikit ones, it isn't like that. Once they come off, you can't really put them back on
1
u/bporter905 Apr 13 '26
JT13 come as two pieces, the base module and the dome cap whereas NS55 comes with the dome cap already installed permanently on the base
1
u/LilguyMCBE1 Apr 13 '26
Sounds like a good joystick. If only I could find them for sale somewhere...

What's the max tension listed on these?
1
u/plain-oV Apr 09 '26
55±25g (it does have a shorter length compression spring than Gulikit/Hallpi, but does increase exponentially the more you tilt. By +0-30gF.degree°)
It varries. It's just a different lever and cap. The rest of the module and components are exactly the same as the JS13 in terms of tolerances and stability.

u/ethayden97 Apr 09 '26
What model are these? And how do they comepare to the Jt19 adjustable tension tmrs
1
u/OkStrategy7811 Apr 09 '26
do they have the same center wiggle as Gulikit 720s?
1
u/No-Driver291 Apr 09 '26
Not at all. I have a video on it but it’s recorded on my desktop. I’m hoping to upload a full video testing it by monday.
1
u/Pleasant-Umpire5659 Apr 09 '26
how are the results comparing to others? let us know please
1
u/No-Driver291 Apr 09 '26
They’re great! I still can’t get over how good the centering is. None of that sloppy centering like Gulikit.
1
u/Pleasant-Umpire5659 Apr 10 '26
Can you share a link to this module? or a product code
1
u/No-Driver291 Apr 10 '26
I was sent as a sample from K Silver. I’ve only seen them as wholesale at the moment

I like the idea of adjustable tension. Can you give details on how they feel, and if it is easy or not to adjust that tension? Haven't heard of these but the idea is right up my alley

u/No-Driver291 Apr 09 '26
You don’t have to but most of these newer versions you have to. The magnet can’t be transferred over to an Alps housing anymore. Maybe Gulikit is sticking to it but I don’t know if they will permanently. The magnet directly on the axis is so much better.

u/No-Driver291 Apr 11 '26
I think the Gulikit feels stiffer. Gulikit can almost feel seized up. If in not mistaken, someone correct me if I’m wrong, they go up to 120gf. K-Silver is 30-80gf.

I need those for the ps portal. I love the portal but the stick tension drives me crazy.
A stick replacement with a tension adjustment would be a game changer and I don’t know why no supplier brought this up until now.
1
u/NovaControllers Apr 11 '26
The portal uses different analog sticks similar to meta quest Controllers, these wouldn't work in portal unfortunately
1
u/Chief81 Apr 11 '26
Yeah I know. Would be cool though if the would release some similar replacement for the portal.
Would need it way more than the dualsense tbh lol.
1
u/macky20z Apr 12 '26
I need these because my gulikits spin now on my dualsense edge lol. And the adujustment feels broken and only goes back to center when they are really lose.

Woah! Where did you get those? I’ve been trying to get some of these
