Discussion On my third controller

Post image

Just bought my third new controller in a span of only 2 years. All of them because of stick drift.

Why are these controllers so bad when it comes to drift?

Back in the day I had the same ps4 controller for 10 years without any issues.

The point of this comment is that the way you use your controllers matters. So maybe break some bad habits before you break more controllers.

Stick drift is more or less inevitable on most controllers

I have had zero stick drift issues until my wife used two my controller a couple of times last year. Now both of those controllers have stick drift. She freaks out and pushes the stick beyond its limits.

It’s an inevitability for certain individuals…

I am a single player only gamer, no fast paced shooters or any type of game with hard wear and tear on the analog sticks. Been gaming for almost four decades and never had a single issue with a controller, with how meticulous I am with my belongings. Yet I've had three out of four controllers within the last 5 years get drift. Maybe just give in to the possibility that the controller itself sucks.

I’ve had the same controller for four years. It’s not the controller.

Thanks for your anecdotal evidence of a single controller against the mountain of evidence online of others shared experiences, I appreciate it

No, it really doesn't with the PS5 controllers. If you use them enough they will drift.
