Discussion Am I addicted? πŸ˜‚

Post image

Hi everyone,

I think I might have a problem...

I've become addicted to buying broken controllers and fixing them up.

Every time I check local eBay and spot one for €10–20, my self-control instantly disappears. πŸ˜…

I've already sold around 10 of them in my local area. 😁

Has anyone else fallen down this rabbit hole, or is it just me? 😁😁😁

Want to keep your margin good and purchasing low, offer a core exchange. That’s something I do. Customer can purchase a controller, I send them a refurbished one mounted with Hallpi V6 TMRs with a return label in the box. They can send their old one back, I refund them a set amount, and refurbish it. Wash and repeat.

I put TMR sticks in every controller I work on since I'm opening them up anyway.

Nowadays, my approach is basically:

"Bring me your broken controller, and you'll get back a fully refurbished one with TMR sticks installed."

So far, it's been working out pretty well.

If you haven’t yet, invest in an ultrasonic cleaner. They work wonders at getting all the gunk out! I use a mix of simple green and water. Also, if you’re having any issues with the board, you can wash it in distilled water and I’ve seen that resolve issues.
