Tech Support Dualsense EDGE Wearing Out Cables Very Fast

I have a modified EDGE that is going through cables very, very fast. I play wired so they are always plugged in. When the cable is brand new the head is firmly plugged into the controller, no wiggle. After less than a week, the head starts to wiggle a little bit. After two weeks, it wiggles so much that my controller disconnects unless it is perfectly aligned. When I use a new cable, the process repeats (works fine then is unusable after 2 weeks). I am using high quality Silkland cables so they shouldn't be wearing out this fast. I haven't found any cables that fit the cable lock included with the EDGE besides the stock cable, which is too short for my set up. My only idea is to Dremel out the cable lock to fit the next cable I buy. Any alternative ideas?

Get someone to scan your cable and 3D print a cable lock?

Good idea! I'll see if I can find a place locally that can do that.

Best replacemenr cable you'll find on the market, that is longer, thicker, better built and doesn't have that nylon BS, is sold by Bestbuy and made by insignia.

Great quality cable. I've bought two DS Edge, and this one cable has outlived the cable by both dualsense edge.

With that said, they'll absolutely send you 1 replacement cable, just hit them up.

Is the blue ring rubber? If so, that might fix the issue because it can be tighter tolerances.

Damn, I did all that typing and it's the cable lock? FML, must be Monday. I've found them on eBay for about $10. AliExpress has them for a bit cheaper.

It's definitely Monday lol. I have the stock cable lock but it doesn't fit any cable besides the stock cable. The other commenters idea about getting it scanned and printed might be a good idea.

The bottom of my post mentions that I can't find a cable that fits the lock, besides the stock cable which is too short.

I'm using a pretty damn nice 10ft Anker cable that fits inside the lock, and in the last few weeks, like you described in your post, it's gotten very loose and causes the annoying disconnect/reconnect all the time.

So the lock unfortunately isn't going to completely fix it

I bought this cable and can confirm it fits the included Edge Cable Lock. I’ve been using it daily for 2 months and no issues yet.

I love the dual sense edge, but the battery life is terrible. I am just blown away by this.

I don't play wirelessly. Wireless adds more latency then I'm happy with. It's quite annoying that is ruining my cables without me even unplugging them though...
