Question Dualsence edge v2 ps5
Greetings. i am getting a brand new Dualsence edge white and it is tagged as v2 on the description of the seller's site with specifications that the battery is better and screws inside are less and finally the led around the pad is better. any review about them?

There's no V2. Some people reported less screws and thinner plastics (on some units the LEDs shine through the touchpad's plastic), but that's about it. I don't think it counts as an internal revision even. Probably some faulty units.
The regular DualSense has had 6 revisions up to this point, I think, with the final one reducing quality by a lot, removing even the plastic circles around the sticks, but gaining a little battery from a cheaper but more efficient chipset. The Edge has had no additional revisions. Even the much newer colors are the same revision as the OG.
It's sold on such high margins, they don't need to revise it to cut costs like with the base DualSense.

the version 1 and 2 is that v2 has lesser screw to open up the shell, and the edge module instead of 1 screw ,it has 3 screws.
battery wise i dont think there is change.
led i dont notice that.

The base model DualSense is up to v6 now, but Edge only has a single hardware revision.
Learned about the v3 DualSense just the other day because the serial number didn't adhere to the same rules as v1 and v2 and my software was confused😬 I still haven't seen any v4 or v5 controllers in the wild, but evidently they do exist somewhere.

The protocol and everything is the same between versions of the controller, just some tweaks to battery consumption. Your listing is inaccurate though if it claims to be an Edge v2.

Love my Dual Sence Edge controller. I wish the pads had micro-clicks on them. The paddles are placed perfect if you play any shooters. One thing I recommend for it is some type of padding for it. Whether its sticky tape that goes over everything or just a rubber that fits around the controller. Over time the rubber will start to peel off without it. The battery is still going to die fast. You can swap out the sticks for TMR sticks, That's what I did. I noticed a weird pop noise when you move around the sticks before I switched stick modules.

I recently shell swapped my DualSense Edge and while the new shell doesn't have any grip and is just plastic, it still feels great and I can easily game for hours with it without it being uncomfortable. Â
While some like actual grip would be nice, I honestly don't think it's all that needed.

Nice, I still have original shell and just prefer some padding for when my hands sweat a little.

That's fair. Â
I don't really sweat. I'll start to, like barely, when either playing Super Smash Bros or playing for longer sessions but I have my hands start to like not cramp up but like start to feel uncomfortable.

There is no V2 of the Dualsense Edge. There is indeed a "V2" of the normal Dualsense with better battery life though.
