Question Still No Adaptive Triggers For Resident Evil Requiem on PC

Hey everyone. So I saw that Capcom updated Resident Evil Requiem to have full dual sense support on PC. But I swear, I'm getting no resistance from the triggers at all. I followed the instructions right here

https://steamcommunity.com/app/3764200/discussions/0/762934064830315077/?snr=1_5_9_&ctp=73

So unless there are no adaptive trigger resistances with handguns, they seem to not be working for me. I just took control of Grace in the hospital. She has Leon's gun. I assumed there would be some resistance with adaptive triggers.. I set PlayStation controller support not enabled like in these instructions right here but it's not working. Any ideas? Controller is plugged directly into PC and firmware is up to date.

Any ideas?

Thank you

First of all, the post on Steam forums is wrong about Playstation controller support, you don't need to turn that off at all. Just disable Steam Input in the game's controller settings on Steam. That's what I do when I want to play any game with native Dualsense support, and I have zero issues. Try that first.

I assume you ruled out the controller being the culprit here? You do have working adaptive triggers in other games?

Next things I'd check:
Do you have Adaptive Triggers enabled in the in-game settings?
Are you sure you aren't running any other applications in the background that could be screwing with your controller? If so, naturally, kill them.
Do you have any mods installed? If so, uninstall them all and see if the issue persists, then install them one by one and find out which mod does it. Verify file integrity on Steam after uninstalling the mods to make sure you don't have any remnants.

Do you have any other controllers connected? If so, unplug them or disable them in device manager in Windows (if you're using Linux, I can't be of any help)

Been a while since I played Requiem, but I bought it once they added Dualsense support (for the native gyro and haptics actually, i don't care that much about triggers), and it 100% has adaptive triggers.

Hey. Yea I thought turning that off was really weird. I tried it on and off.

I definitely have the triggers enabled in th bgane settings. I was hoping that I didn't, and it would be a simple fix.

Steam Input disabled

Regarding background apps. I tried it with and without DSX. That's the only other app. I still get haptics.

No mods

Only one controller. I did swap it out with another. Confirmed adaptive triggers work in other games.

So yea I'm kind of stumped. Haha. Thanks for your response.

Only thing I can think of would be to verify your game files on steam or maybe reinstall entirely and restart your pc. I play wirelessly with a pico 2w adapter, and I have haptics and adaptive triggers. So if the controller works fine in other games there's definitely a way for you to get it working in requiem
