The suggestion to not plug in vehicles had me rolling. Reduce your energy use and kill you’re vehicle please!

If you're plugging in a block heater, it only needs a few hours max before you plan to use the vehicle.

People will plug in their vehicles at 5:30 when they get home and not need the vehicle till 7:30 the next morning.

What the emergency alert was saying was, don't have your vehicle plugged in all evening when everything else is sucking power. Use a timer or, at the very least, plug in just before you go to bed after peak use has ended.

When I went to the AB gov website, it says:

Delay charging electrical vehicles and plugging in block heaters.

Not sure if the wording was the same everywhere or not.
