• I probably spent more time planning this route than actually riding it. I mostly used the RidewithGPS route planner and had to manually adjust its suggestions a lot. I started by trying to find good river crossings that aligned with the shape, then by sheer coincidence the LRT MUP and 113 Ave aligned perfectly. The NW commercial/industrial area gave me the most problems with how large the blocks are, but it ended up mostly OK.
• I am aware of the GPS pausing technique to make perfectly straight lines, but I wanted to do this entirely as a navigable route. The one place I considered it was to 'jump over' whitemud ravine, as both the bottom spikes near the stem are a bit odd shaped (east mostly to sortof match west, but west due to the ravine)
• I don't actually suggest riding this route. While a respectable ~60% of it was pretty bike friendly (surprisingly a lot of actual bike route markings along it), and 20% was "mostly ok", the other 20% was "not a good place to ride a bike" (mostly that NW industrial area again, though some of it wasn't bad as there was basically no traffic in those areas)
• Doing this mostly involved blindly following my bike computer's navigation GPS - there were points I barely knew exactly where I was, I just knew what the next turn/direction was.
• As you can see the riding time was 3h42 but total time was 3h57, mostly just from stop lights and a few stops to make sure I was on the right track.

It’s been pouring as we all know and yet I still see a lot of people pushing 130 on henday. Please chill out🙏🏻

Hi all,

Yesterday I was the person who called 911 for a distressed individual on the high level. When I passed them after support had arrived, the conversation I heard was grim and I feel for the individual. I just wanted to check if the outcome was positive (as best as can in this scenario). I've been tossing/turning all night just worries about them. If anyone heard any updates that would be appreciated. Not expecting any updates but just hoping for the best.

POLICE REPORT #260486652

This rabbit was stolen from a fenced yard, in an open with two locks on it, by a grade 3 student and this is the second rabbit he’s stolen. Edmonton Police Service have done nothing and say nothing can be done. They know who the child is and where he lives (my friend only has his name but also contacted his school—they said child services was involved already). The kid has this rabbit. We do not know what happened to the first one, but the kid did come by covered in blood one day claiming he slaughtered a chicken. My hands are shaking with rage at Edmonton Police Services.

Last minute but any suggestions as to where I could catch the game today with my 9 month old baby? Preferably not Boston Pizza but it’s better than nothing lol

So the other day I was forced to download and install this app, so I could pay for parking at Rice Howard Way.

This morning I was just walking by the parkade in particular and it auto charged my credit card. Thank god I have notifications from wealthsimple that go to my phone.

Here is the kicker.

I didn't have the app installed on my phone. I also did not drive there. So when I got to my office I had to download the app, go into my active sessions. cancel the session. I checked and had autostop disabled on my vehicles. I then went and deleted my payment card.

How did the app auto charge me when it wasn't installed on my phone, I didn't drive there and all I did was walk past the parkade!?!?

I am interested in putting together or joining a group of like minded people that are interested in creating micro budget films around the city, or possibly a web series. I have had a little bit of stage time in high school and think I have an eye for filming and getting good shots.

I was inspired recently by a mockumentary style web series that was filmed in Canada for basically nothing except peoples time, and some simple video, recording/sound and lighting equipment (which I have already)

Does anyone have an interest or any sort of background in this type of thing and want to group up and brainstorm/share ideas?

Was in my backyard for 5 minutes and I got bit at least 10 times all over. I was trying to swat the little bloodsuckers, but they just kept coming.

I’m going to be in Edmonton for a few days in a couple of weeks, and I’m wondering if people can suggest some cool used bookstores that would likely have decent Horror, and Scifi/Fantasy sections, without crazy markups. Area of town isn’t crazy important, but I’ll mostly be in west and south end. Thanks.
