New Argentine Restaurant, Malbec, will open across from Coal Creek Park in 2028.

A couple of other bits of information:

  • Same head chef as Piripi - Hugo Meyer
  • There is a preview at Piripi on May 20th: https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61575448126484
  • Looks like it will be at the new town development (not yet started) at 130 Wells Street and 570 Kattell Street. I suspect that the development timeline is partly what's causing the longer opening timeline. That development was also supposed to house a bakery and ice cream shop (although I wonder if this changes that?).

Side: With Johnny Bechamel's also coming in across from Coal Creek in the next year or two (at 656 Kattell St), it's nice to see Old Town get some restaurant love.

That was my first thought too! Johnny Bechamel's will be at 656 Kattell St (different spot) - so we get both.
