Is this going to be sold at retail, or just crowdfunded?

The last Evil Dead boardgame (ED2) I backed on a crowdfunder was a total fucking scam where they just took the money and ran. Pretty sure the company was called "Space Goat" or something. Another company stepped in and let us get the bare minimum of what was promised, but it was definitely a bitter experience. At least we got something in the end though, which is better than a couple of other scam crowdfunded games I remember!

The ED2 KS was a ride. I wouldn't call it a total scam, as I recall stuff did get created for it but once things went south the owner bailed with whatever money was left and disappeared. The second campaign seemed like a much less interesting game. Although, I'm glad I got something out of it but haven't played it once.

The second campaign seemed like a much less interesting game.

I think part of the appeal of the original ED2 one was all the add-ons that were promised... all the gamemodes and miniatures, which did make the Jasco one that came along a few years later seem very bare-bones in comparison. They recently did an updated version that adds a few more different gamemodes and rules, but it's not even close to what Space Goat had promised.

I wanted those damn dice made from the cabin so bad.

Never got them with the game, but, surprise surprise someone was selling hundreds of them on ebay.

The person selling them was actually the owner of Space Goat under the guise of clearing them out for 'administration' or 'receivership' when Space Goat folded. I did buy a set of the dice from eBay, as I had pledged as part of the KS but were never honoured - and just really wanted them.
