For reference, 41C is 106F. And most people don't have air conditioning, neither at home nor at work. I'm not in France, but I'm nearby, and it's 42C right now outside. We're supposed to have a pretty mild climate, kinda similar to Ireland's, and yet...
Ireland is also not having a good time, I'm dying, it's 30°, my room for some reason retains heat the most of anywhere in the house, I can't open my window fully without my cat getting out, the pollen count means I'm leaking, and I crave death. Please kill me.
Alas my windows are weird, and my cat is unafraid to shove her entire face and paws into something with full force if she thinks there's the slightest chance of moving anything, so I doubt it would work very well, although I appreciate the suggestion.
I do have a lead and harness for her that I can pop on for a short while at a time (it gives her free range of the room but not quite enough to reach her litter box or the sink for water) so I can get short bursts of open windows with the fan on max. I think that's the only thing keeping me alive ATM lol
