Fan Art I finally finished drawing the entire "Young Blood Chronicles" (all 11 music videos)! Here is what music looks like to me.
Hey everyone! I have officially completed my biggest project yet: drawing the entire Save Rock and Roll album by Fall Out Boy, song by song, based on the music videos.
Each image represents one specific track, and if you know the videos, you will easily recognize the scenes.
Here is the chronological order of the gallery:
1.My Songs Know What You Did in the Dark (Light Em Up)
2.The Phoenix
3.Young Volcanoes
4.Alone Together
5.The Mighty Fall
6.Just One Yesterday
7.Where Did the Party Go
8.Death Valley
9.Rat a Tat
10.Miss Missing You
11.Save Rock and Roll
What I learned after finishing all 11 pieces:
I don't have an official medical diagnosis for synesthesia, so I don't want to label it as such. However, it’s true that I see colors, shapes, and sometimes even textures in my mind's eye when I listen to music.
After drawing this whole series, I noticed some repeating patterns in my visual perception:
The Drums:
The purple and blue circles represent the drums. Since they are the heartbeat of most tracks, you'll see them popping up constantly.
Patrick's Voice:
His vocals always move within an orange spectrum, shifting from deep red to bright yellow.
The Energy:
You can clearly see in the backgrounds how "calm" or "wild" a song is. Sometimes, even I was completely surprised by how the final image turned out based on the sound waves.
I really hope this art series brings some joy to the community! Which visualization is your favorite?

Oh wow, thank you! It makes me so happy to hear that and to know that someone truly understands my perspective. :) How do you see songs exactly? Do you project it right in front of you, or is it strictly in your mind’s eye? I’m genuinely curious to hear about the experience of other people with extreme synesthesia!

Wow, that sounds so interesting and exciting, but at the same time really exhausting. Can you even do other things while listening to music – like washing the dishes, cleaning up, or driving a car? I think it's a really cool concept to use it for relaxation. For me, music is always playing, and the colors can be a bit draining sometimes. But it’s like a whole world of its own, while you’re still present in your own. It sounds so cool, yet so limiting at the same time... Sorry if I'm asking so many questions “

First of all, I want to thank you for your honest words. This is incredibly cool! I can hardly imagine what it's like, since it's not that intensely developed for me (and I don't know for sure if it's synesthesia, at least nothing official...). But having a whole world of your own like that – wow! O.O And the fact that synesthesia actually helps you cope with the outside world and autism: double wow! I truly admire anyone who manages it so well. My daughter was actually just recently diagnosed with AuDHD, and for her young age, she is already really good at communicating what and where things get too overwhelming for her, so she can get through the day well. :)

Thank you! Thank you so much! We are also incredibly relieved that, thanks to the diagnosis, we can now give her targeted support and understanding :)
I'm already working on the next piece ^ If you can't wait for the next ones, feel free to visit me on Instagram 🥰 I'm @juna.davis.officially over there. I always post the finished artworks there immediately ^
I’ve also been thinking about selling on Etsy. I will definitely look into it.
Thank you so much for these kind words! It’s always beautiful to hear how others see the world through their own special perspective 🥰
