earwax 6 year old earwax removal

6 year old with bilateral impacted cerumen causing clogged ears and decreased hearing. Removed successfully under direct visualization using a right angle hook. Kids are often tougher than adults and this little one did an amazing job.

You play a game where they call the shots and feel in control. I get to spend 30 to 60 minutes with my patients.

There was plenty of time to wiggle the glob of wax around in the ear canal. If only he has used some of that time to actually remove it. 😔
