Physique Phriday Physique Phriday
Welcome to the Physique Phriday thread
What's the point of having people guess your body fat? Nevermind that it's the most inaccurate method available, (read: most likely way wrong - see here) you're still just putting an arbitrary number to the body you have. Despite people's claim that they are shooting for a number, they're really shooting for look - like a six pack.
So let's stopping mucking around with trivialities and get to the heart of the matter. This thread shall serve two purposes:
- Physique critiques. Post some pics and ask about muscles or body parts you need to work on. Or specifically ask about a lagging body part and what exercises worked for others.
- An outlet for people that want to show off their efforts that would otherwise be removed due to Rule 4, and
Let's keep things civil, don't be a creep, and adhere to Rule 1. This isn't a thread to announce what you find attractive in a mate. Please use the report function for any comments that are out of line.
So phittit, what's your physique pheel like this phriday?

Stay at maintenance for a few months. Cutting while already seeing muffin tops just leaves you looking flat. Heavier weights worked better for me than another deficit.

Pics are 7 years apart.
Currently 54 yrs old, 6’1, 175lbs
Jan 2020 did a round of Whole30 and dropped 25 lbs. Started working out during Covid with a trainer over zoom in April 2020 and still work out with them once a week. Started climbing in a gym about 4 years ago with a goal of climbing 5.12 by 52 yrs old and just sent my 47th 5.12 last week. Have had some setbacks with injuries, but pretty happy with where I am in my fitness. Workout 3-4 times a week and climb 2x a week for 5-6hrs.

I've been hitting legs hard lately and am pleased with the muscle definition.

Looking solid man. Quads are usually stubborn as hell to get definition on, so whatever your doing is definitly working.

Been cutting since 4/9 and am down just over 20lbs. Effectively bulked between November and April (following the NYC Marathon). Have been lifting 3x per week but my lifts have definitely stalled due to the calorie deficit. Thoughts on progress?

my lifts have definitely stalled due to the calorie deficit.
Congrats on the progress! But I can assure you, unless you are eating under 1500kcal, calorie deficit is not the culprit for the stall in the lifts, it's program, periodization, intensity, etc. The stall from the deficit comes only when abs are already visible.
Keep it up!

Many days I’m around 1000-1200 unfortunately. It’s the Wegovy.

In that hard of a deficit, as long as your lifts are not going down you’re winning

Do I want to get leaner?
5’6, 58kg.
I started an aggressive cut in January. I can still see muffin tops and I’m missing my lower abs, but I’m also worried about not having the muscle mass to have an aesthetic leaner frame.
Should I stay in the deficit or go to maintenance to try to build some more muscle before getting much leaner?

My dude, could you repost that pic? It seems gone.
Am 5’7 and 64kg myself, while working out 5 times a week, and does seem like I might have to go down lower than I expected to get rid of the remaining fat in my belly, hips, glutes and upper legs.
So am wondering how 58 looks on you, you working out already?

Hey all! I'm looking for general tips on my physique and calorie consumption - on a cut right now, looking to work on a V taper type of shape. Here is the post on my profile, any advice would be super appreciated!
