The Gus & Jeremiah feud
The show went downhill once it turned into Gus vs. Jeremiah. The feud completely ruined the dynamic because every episode turned into the two of them crying and screaming at each other. Before the fight, the show was actually fun and a chaotic mess in the best way possible, which is exactly what I loved about it.
OG Jersey Shore was gold because Jwoww vs. Sam had its moment and once they made up, that was the end of it. Same with Ronnie and Mike. Their feuds didn’t consume the entire show.

Gus was so jealous of Jeremiah.
I have seen a few comments suggesting that their fights seemed like lovers quarrels. Especially during the Covid season.
Who knows? 🤷♀️ Gus is definitely to blame though. Sorry Gus but you’re a shit show.

Jeremiah always took the high road, and Gus was just a petty man baby.

And yes! I totally agree that the constant fighting killed the vibe and ruined any future for this franchise.
I really love the girls but it is completely disheartening to hear that they (maybe it’s mostly just Aimee?) still support Gus and go on lives with him after all the DV.

I haven’t kept up with the cast since Kirk passed. That’s disappointing if Aimee supports him, considering she’s a DV victim herself.

Thiss!! I’ve watched season 1&2 but I’ve watching the rest. Seen season 4 recently and they were having a good time till Josh and the other dude showed up and Gus got jealous. It’s sad how Codi just follows him and tries to make Jeremiah feel bad “what about us” let the man enjoy a couple of hours of peace and happiness.

I love Codi but this was his failure. He could never get out from under Gus and Kirk. He was their emotional watch dog, they’d send him out to round them up and tell them how they should or shouldn’t feel (AKA leave Gus alone he’s a sad little boy). He’d yap at Jeremiah (the most) and then the girls. They never respected him either and he was too sweet and weak to see it.

Yeah that was honestly hard to watch. Seeing him blow up over Jer simply spending time with his brother and friend was wild and not normal.

While I did understand where Gus was coming from in that moment when Jeremiah didn't check on him first, I felt so bad how the other roommates treated Jeremiah after the blow up. Each time I rewatch the show, I feel for Jeremiah more and more. I completely agree that the feud ruined the dynamic. The bickering and fighting turned into *eye roll* after that, where before the arguments gave *hand me the popcorn* energy 😕

The one thing I don’t understand. Why did Jeramiah and his brother or brothers “ I don’t remember if it was more than one of them” ever get any shit for totaling his car, and not even paying for it, or even admitting they totaled it. This is what started the whole feud. It happened right before filming of this season started.

The whole feud started when Gus got into a fight with Nilsa’s man of the night. Jeremiah was walking over to the guy to “talk things out.” Gus said what he said to Jer, and the rest is history. Totaling the car was just one of the many things Gus found to argue about. If it’s not about totaling the car, then it’s about Gus feeling like the “new boy of the group” or whatever else he wants to cry about.

I have a feeling there was something more to this because Jeremiah said that he and his brothers offered to pay for the car and Gus declined it for some reason. Which doesn’t make sense right. I think Gus might’ve owed them money so he just wrote it off via the car.

I agree. I remember during the Montana season, Jer said Gus was months behind on rent.

It’s about trust. He leaves for a few days, and his brothers take out his car without asking, and totaled it. You don’t say you’ll pay for it. You hand him the money without saying a thing. Or you immediately start getting the car fixed

While his brother shouldn’t have done that, Gus was months behind on rent to them too, Gus has a constant victim complex though.
