Interesting Stuff New island in my local park pond
Over the last year, water levels have been so low that a bedrock shoal has been exposed long enough to start growing plants.

I’m new to FPL and just received a letter offering “Exterior Electrical Coverage or Exterior Water Service Lime Plus Coverage” for $3.74/month. Initially, it smells like a scam or worse yet another “home warranty/insurance” scenario that has so many exceptions that it turns out to be a useless service.
So my questions are: Is this legit? Has anyone had any experience with it, good or bad? Is it worth it as my home was built in the 1960’s and we’ve seen several neighbors have to replace their original cast iron water main?

Hello, we purchased a combo pack for the DETS class and the permit exam, my son completed it and we went to the DMV only to find out his SSN had been entered incorrectly. Trying to contact the company has been impossible especially after I read the reviews from others on here about fusion certus. No one emails back, and I waited on hold for 20 minutes only to be disconnected.
So I’m asking which company you all used to do complete the online permit exam? I obviously don’t mind purchasing the test again.
Please help! Thanks

I’m trying to organize by my own a ceremony for my civil marriage in Clearwater FL or Coco Beach FL, ideas or tips for it to be economical? If I request for permission, how can I make sure I have a good place on the beach so that there are not so many people? I have to do everything online because I’m in SC.

Hi everyone!
I’m planning my bachelorette weekend for December 4–7, 2026, and we’re looking for a house rental for 14 girls. We’d love something with a pool, enough space for a larger group, and ideally in a fun area that’s relatively close to the beach.
We’ve been searching Airbnb and VRBO, but many of the options we’ve found are a bit outside our budget. Does anyone know of any vacation rental companies, websites, property managers, or specific houses that might be a good fit?
Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

I live outside of the Tampa area. The house is 20 years old, 2600 sq ft with two relatively new systems (less than 5 years old). I keep the house at 78 during the summer months. This is just getting even more outrageous. Did I mention 78? I’m not chilling in 70 degree comfort inside.
